The Marmot Men's Ama Dablam Jacket is a down jacket for belaying, skiing, or hanging around base camp with a mug of hot coffee. The Ama Dablam is packed with 800 fill power goose down for superior warmth without the weight. The 100% polyester mini ripstop fabric protects the down within a series of baffles and is coated in a durable water repellent treatment to resist a light rain and snow. The regular fit allows for tons of layering, often needed when camping in the cold chill of the mountains. The hood fits over a ski or climbing helmet, cinching down so it won't fall off when the wind picks up. The two zippered chest pockets (one inside, one outside) store a snack or headlamp close by, while the hand pockets are fleece lined for warming up your paws while hanging at camp. Ama Dablam! Alakazam! Magic words are cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly warm and versatile. Very stylish! I bought this for Christmas for my husband. He absolutely loves it, and it was a home run. It is so incredibly warm and not heavy. It packs small enough to go in your suitcase without taking too much room (we haven't backpacked with it yet). He is a smaller framed guy who usually orders a medium in most things. The medium fit a little bulky through the torso, so we sent it back and got a small. He is 5'9" and weighs about 145-150. The new size was perfect, and it keeps him so warm that I'm about to order myself an early birthday present if I can find one comparable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Style: Overall I'm very happy with the style of this jacket. It is a bit puffier than I expected, however; it is 800 down so I'm not sure what i was expecting. I am 6'3" 180lbs, not a bulky build at all, I ordered a Large. It is a bit big for me in the chest/midsection, but the medium would've been too short and probably a little tight in some areas. With the extra room it is perfect for layering. I got the orange, it is a bit brighter than what I expected looking at the one on the website but I still like it. Function: I first wore it shoveling the drive way in mid teens temp with even lower wind chill, I ended up having to take the jacket off because I got too hot. This is a VERY warm jacket especially when layering and if you are active. The jacket is super light and compresses extremely well. Perfect for someone on the go, you can compress this jacket in a pack and take it out on a break to stay warm. I love that this stuffs into its own pocket, it will be great for when I go somewhere cold but need more than one jacket, I can put this in my bag and wear another one. Overall I really love this jacket and will more than likely be my go to for cold weather. My only complaint is that it is a bit steep on the price, but I guess you get what you paid for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not that impressed I got this jacket less then a month ago, and I have lost so much of the down it just comes out of everywere, I am sticking to synthetic from now on, not cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ama Dablam Jacket I received this as a gift for Christmas. 1. We sent this to a friend's address as we were going away during the holidays and did not want the package to be on our door steps for weeks. A lady from Marmot called to make sure that we indeed ordered the jacket ( My home phone number attached to the credit card used).I thought that this was really good as they were trying to protect fraudulent purchases. 2. I live in Maine and over the past few weeks it is getting colder, about 15-20 F at night. 3. I have used this jacket early in the morning for long walks of over 3-4 miles and found that it kept me very warm and the hood protected me from the wind. 4. The Jacket folds very small and is easy to pack into the suit case as I have traveled around with tis jacket. 5. This Jacket is well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmth and light weight I've owned an older version of this jacket (600 fill) for 8 years. I've taken it on several backpacking trips in S. Utah and the Sierras and its kept me toasty every time. It may be a bit bulkier than the newer styles with smaller baffles, but for static warmth, it's a great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is a great coat. I purchased it for my son and he love it. He don't like heavy coats so when he tried on the Marmot he loved it. My boyfriend also tried it on and he love it as well. Now he's going to buy one. My son say it keeps him warm and thank me for purchasing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm, warm, warm!!! I've had this jacket for 3 years and it's my go to when the weather starts to drop here in NYC. I sometimes wear with only a t-shirt and I'm perfectly fine. fits perfect, I'm 6ft 270lbs, I bought it when I was 240lbs and fit a bit loose but fits just fine after the weight gain.
