The Marmot Limestone 4 Person Tent is a family tent for your troop of four to enjoy the outdoor life. The combination of pole sleeves and clips make the Limestone easy to pitch, with a color-coded system even the kids can help with. Enjoy the open air and stars through the mesh canopy or throw the fly on to stay shielded from the summer storms. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality! I purchased this about a month ago and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality to price ratio. If you're in the market for a 4-person tent, don't hesitate to buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Condensation I used the 4p for the first time and dude the whole tend was completely wet inside the walls. Is this supposed to be normal? And more water was dripping from the mesh on the roof and with the rain cover over the tent. Ridiculous! Btw. Do you make mattresses for this tent or do I have to find one at a sporting goods store.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good tent with a few shortcomings I got this tent as a gift a few months ago. I just completed a 2 month cross country road trip and would like to report some pros and cons. The tent is nice and roomy for the two of us with our dog. The near vertical walls, and the high ceiling are great - I am 5'10" and if I leaned over a bit I could stand up to put my pants on inside the tent. We had one night where it rained hard the whole night in southern Oregon. Although the loud sound of the heavy rain on the fly kept us from sleeping very well, not a drop of water got inside the tent. Now for some cons. As stated by others, the poles do bend very easily, never to the point of kinking or being unusable, but still, I think they should be thicker. The biggest con is the shape of the vestibule and the J-shaped zipper. If the outside of the tent is wet from rain or condensation, when one opens the vestibule from the inside, water runs down off the top of the fly into the vestibule and onto the "doormat". It is very difficult to get out of the tent on a wet morning without getting your clothes wet. We also had quite a problem with condensation, but I suppose that is to be expected from a tent with such a full coverage fly. Finally, it is pretty hard for one person to set up because the main poles are so long and they are under quite a bit of tension.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Instructions I guess they assume you've been setting up tents for years, or have coverage where you are to watch youtube videos. Both bogus assumptions, and BTW, the youtube videos are bad. Just include written instructions that actually correspond to the tent (none of the youtube videos actually describe how to set up the tent I bought). Pass on this one and buy a tent with instructions. They probably could have paid $200 to someone to write instructions, and include them, but they did not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thoughtfully designed Our vacations often consist of traveling in the west and Canada and spending most nights in a campground of some sort accessible by car. This tent was to be a replacement for one worn out from decades of use. We recently used this tent on a 3 week western trip to the northern Rockies. Unlike our backpacking tent that is ideally set up on a bed of pine needles a car camping tent more often is set up on a tent pad surfaced with rock or other abrasive material. We liked the thicker- than- most floor this tent provided. While weight is not an issue for our needs this tent is not heavy and it is readily contained in an ample sized bag with a thoughtfully provided carrying strap. I would consider using this tent for canoe camping if the portages were not long. Anyone familiar with modern tent design will find this tent trivial to erect, a handy attribute when it is already raining. One day we had winds reported to be gusting at 25 mph and the tent shed the wind uneventfully. It is provided with ample ties providing the surrounding ground will accept the robust stakes provided. The tent has a host of thoughtful features. There is a hook to hang a lantern from, pockets, a fly with adjustable straps to tension the fly, convenient tie backs for the door, and double zippers on the tent and fly doors to customize the opening and ventilation. A personal favorite is the color. It blends into the forest from the outside, and provides a pleasing light ambience inside. In summary I was impressed by the many thoughtful features the tent provided. We spent one rainy night in the tent. The underside of the fly accumulated a layer of condensation water which is usual for this style of tent. However, no water dripped into the sleeping area. The tent lacks a back door or window. Hence, ventilation and being able to look out of the tent is marginal. It was freezing most nights we used the tent so ventilation was not a concern, but it could be in a hot night. Water beads up but sticks to the waterproof coating on the fly. An amazing amount of water was adhered to the fly the morning after the rainy night. This property makes getting the tent dry after a night of condensation or rain slow. The only reservation I have about this tent is ventilation if it is hot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the tent but not the poles I love this tent. I love the size, shape, head room and ease of one person setup. See my earlier 3 star review that stated I had to replace 2 sets of poles before taking it into the field. Just returned from from an 8 day canoe trip and the 2 sets of long poles have got the same bending problem as before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this tent but I love everything about this tent except for the poles. I bought this tent to go on a 2 month roadtrip and the first time I used the tent one of the blue poles snapped in half and had to spend the next two months with a tent that's partly collapsing as I wasn't anywhere I could go to a store or contact the manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy & Quick to Set Up Staff review- I used this tent for a long weekend trip in northern Michigan. It was supes roomy (I'm 5'6" and I could stand in it, fit a queen sized inflatable mattress, and still had plenty of room for bags and other things) and fast to put up. The BF and I had this up in maybe 5 minutes, which was a useful feature because we ending up relocating halfway through our trip. *insert two thumbs up here*
