Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps Brains Inside If you hate having your thinking mush splattered all over a dark cave with the possibility of zombies running amuck, then buy this helmet. It does a fine job keeping your noggin intact and fits very well despite how large mine happens to be. The only sucky part is that the cloth material is hard to clean if you are getting muddy, but what's the point of wearing this thing if you aren't planning on getting down and dirty in the first place. Keep the zombies at bay and buy Mammut. You don't want to be the next member of The Walking Dead do you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra comfort and keeps the mellon safe I've had this helmet for the past 2 years and been used it for every climbing outing i have. Never leave house without it. Comfort wise, can't be beaten , my bro has the petzl helmet and every time i try his helmet, I'd be so happy that i didn't pick the petzl over this one. Much more comfortable. The only bad thing i can say about it is down to my poor choice of colors, i bought the one in black, and well sitting in the sun, it tends to heat up. With this helmet price and comfort its a winner in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Put it on and forget about it! I'd been meaning to acquire a climbing helmet for a while - my wife refused to multi-pitch climb with me until I did - when I found an awesome deal on Moosejaw for the Mammut Skywalker 2. I love this helmet for two main reasons: 1) it's very comfortable (i.e., lightweight and breathable); and 2) it looks cool! (Well... as cool as a helmet can.) I've never taken a falling rock to the head, but the very first time I wore my helmet I stood up under a rock ledge after topping out and smacked my noggin pretty hard. I was very glad to be wearing this when that happened - and it didn't even scratch! The dial adjustment on the back is SUPER easy to use and works perfectly. The buckle pad on the chin strap is a nice touch - doesn't snag my neck stubble the way some buckles do. Padding is thin, but effective.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent for big heads I have this helmet as a spare for taking my friends who do not climb to the crag. Some have large heads, some small. The adjustability on this helmet is excellent, but because of this it looses some security. When I wear the helmet it flops around a bit on my head, and often the helmet is crooked in pictures. The weight is also mostly on the top of the head so it is not as comfortable as the lightweight foam helmets. A good, cheap helmet though, and fits a variety of head sizes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Headlamp clips are too tight review by Mrjazzitup You need a knife to pry the headlamp clips open a bit just so you can insert the headlamp band in there. I was not able to do this with my fingers so a tool was required. Even then it was still hard trying to maneuver the headlamp band under the clip. This is either a manufacturer's design flaw or a defect. Other helmets are not as complicated when securing the headlamp. Get something else. Very disappointing in Mammut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet I love this helmet because it's very confortable and it will stay in your head. You can put a flash light on it with no problem. When I'm climbing i have never hit my head but you never know. I feel safer with it on. While caving this helmet has saved me from a lot of pain because in some places when you lift your head you will hit the roof or some rocks and trust me you want one of these protecting you..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and nice looking. The Mammut Skywalker 2 is a very classy helmet, if you are worried about it, don't be. It is a comfortable fit for most head sizes and has a knob in the back for adjustment. There is some padding on the chin strap and inside the helmet as well. I have yet to take any debris to the head to see how it truly stands up to the test. As far as ease of use and functionality it is a great helmet for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet!! My friend lent me his Mammut Skywalker 2 last time we went out and I loved it! I immeditaly bought one from here and I am so excited to go out to the crag. ,,,,The adjustability is great, enough for both my girlfriend and I to both use comfortably. I only use this for belaying but it works like a charm. This helmet is comfortable, durable (dropped it 50+ feet without a scratch), and stylish.
