Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea, bad execution I like the idea of this bag. I like that it's top loading. However, this came with my MSR Hubba 1 and it's like the poles are too long for the bag. You can see a strain on the bag from the outside, when it's all cinched up, from the poles. For this reason, I very quickly got a hole in one end that I had to tape up. The straps don't seem to hold up perfectly either, as I ripped one of them as I was cinching it down the first few times I used it. Overall, the bag did make it through as entire thru-hike on the AT, but for what it looks like, you'd have thought I'd already done an entire thru-hike with it before I was even 200 miles into the trail. In theory I'd like to try another one to see if it does the same thing, especially since I like the way it loads, but for the price, I don't want to take the gamble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Compression Bag I have been using this compression bag for a couple of years. It came with my Hubba tent which I also love. You can tell that a lot of thought went into these products. I am amazed that even with my bad tent and fly folding once I put every thing in the bag and cinch t down it looks as good as it did the day it was shipped to me. Its the one item that I have that the crew I hike with envies. Good job MSR, you do good work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tent fits perfectly Great option for those with a ripped tent sack. Would have preferred a different color, but only had one option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to use Easy to use and it compresses well under the straps but it doesn't pack tight enough, especially on the ends where there aren't any straps to hold everything together tight

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed This product was going to be the answer to my attempt at symmetry. I was looking for a stuff sack to compliment the MSR Fury I strap to the outside of my bag. This bag was inferior in so many ways. In what I can only assume is an attempt at ultralight, they lost everything I liked about the bag I got stock with my MSR Fury. The fabric felt unreliable, the bag was smaller, the straps were thinner with whimpy buckles and not enough length. The drawcord was thinner and whimpier. The buckle looks fragile. I'm returning this product before I'm at risk of breaking it. I plan to go hiking outside this summer, so I need something hardier than this. Hopefully MSR will help me track down a more appropriate stuff sack, since I love the horizontal compression straps and wide mouth for loading.

Is this bag the same dimensions and same material (type, thickness, waterproofness, etc.) as the OEM bag that comes with the Hubba Hubba NX? The OEM bag has a pull handle at one end. Does this bad also have a handle at the end not shown in the pictures?

Asked by: makmak
Hiya makmak, thanks for your question! It is the same compression bag, however, there is no wide handle on one end.
