The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 2-Person Tent is a ultralight tent for three season backpacking. The NX stands for NEXT, the next generation of the Hubba series, as it has been redesigned for 2014. The three pounds and seven ounces of the Hubba Hubba NX is the lowest weight yet, as well as offering two different fast and light modes when combined with the optional footprint. Whatever it takes to give your back respite on the trail. The color coded webbing makes for a quick and easy set up so you can clamber inside to enjoy plenty of head and shoulder room due to the symmetrical pole geometry and non-tapered floor. The two large vestibules leaves room for your gear and a friend's, with StayDry entry provided by built-in rain gutters on the rain fly. The MSR team added plenty of venting options to aid in the war against condensation, just roll up the vestibule from the bottom, open the kickstand side vents, or sleep through the night sans-vestibule. The mesh will protect you from pesky bugs. Rise early and pack up camp in a flash with the wide mouth stuff sack, cinching it tight with the attached compression straps.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lived in it for two weeks right out of the box- super swank. I have several two-three and four season tents from other manufacturers. The Hubba Hubba is by far the lightest and roomiest of comparable tents. When I arrived at our helicopter camp, several others had Hubba Hubbas as well, of various vintages. The increased wall height before it goes to mesh, combined with increased mesh area are both great improvements, having the tub sealed from the factory made my prep time super easy (throw it in the bag) and the new stuff sack, though quirky looking, works really well, and jams down into most backpacks very nicely. I would like to have slightly wider side to side pole, to get the rain fly further from the door- when it is truly downpouring, it's hard to get into the tent through the fly without it also raining directly into the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wholly Endorse! Heard of this tent from a friend as being both functional and effective. It is light, solid and a joy to throw in the pack. Far beats my ten year old NF tent! STOKED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i would purchase this tent again I am 67 y.o. and bicycled / camped across the the US from Anacortes, WA to Norwalk, Connecticut in 72 days (4000 mi) during summer of 2015. Just finished cycle loop around state of PA (14 days / 580 mi) Aug 2017. This tent has been packed and unpacked dry, wet, dirty, in the best and worst of conditions and set up in some very unusual locations. two man is added comfort for me, gear etc. Tubular frame is holds up and tent vents well. Tent fit well in dry bag and strapped to top rear pannier rack. Packed frame and stakes separately. I added Tyvek ground cover for added protection. Dries quickly. Never leaked. Wow!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick and Easy Great product - really quick to set up. use with or without pegs and lots of ways to use it too. Does collect condensation even with the "windows" open but forgiven as there's lots of storage space - for long trips I have the gear shed too - but this lacks instructions on how to erect so 'm not sure if I'm doing it right - by luck more than judgement the rain stayed out. - Picture shows Hubba Hubba + gear shed and the Elixir (my friends tent)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, it will keep the rain out! We have used this tent car camping and on a few multi day backcountry backpacking trips. During one evening thunderstorm, the lightning was lighting up the whole interior of the tent and the rain was coming down hard.....we slept comfortably and most importantly, everything stayed dry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent Used this tent for the first time on a 3 day backpack in the North Cascades. Had some very strong winds and colder than expected temps. The tent performed really well, definitely pleased with it. Tent construction seems really solid. Had one stake that bent, surprised me a bit but maybe I did hit it too hard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight tent! We have only used the tent on one trip so far. But I really liked how easy it was to set up and how well it cut the wind. Great tent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry in a downpour Went camping for the first time in the tent over the weekend. I knew heading on the trip the weather was supposed to be dreadful, but I wanted to put this baby to the test - she did not let me down! Such a great tent. My partner and I woke up the following morning completely dry dispite the raging storm outside that had taken over the night and the following morning. Awesome tent for anyone looking to spend for quality!! Can't wait to use it again!

What tent stakes come with tent?

Asked by: Mark
Hiya Mark, thanks for your question! MSR uses a couple different source locations for manufacturing their products, including stakes. Depending on where the tent was manufactured, it should include either the mini groundhog or needle stakes. Both options are good quality. Hope this helps!

Would this be considered an appropriate tent for winter camping in climates like Michigan?

Asked by: makula11
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us. You bring up an excellent question. This tent is actually a three-season, meaning that it's good for Spring, Summer and Fall. It's not recommended that you use this one for Winter, especially here in Michigan! I would suggest checking out some Four-season tents. I'd check out the MSR Fury 2 Person Tent or even the MSR Dragontail 2 Person Tent. Both are solid tents.
