The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 2-Person Tent is a ultralight tent for three season backpacking. The NX stands for NEXT, the next generation of the Hubba series, as it has been redesigned for 2014. The three pounds and seven ounces of the Hubba Hubba NX is the lowest weight yet, as well as offering two different fast and light modes when combined with the optional footprint. Whatever it takes to give your back respite on the trail. The color coded webbing makes for a quick and easy set up so you can clamber inside to enjoy plenty of head and shoulder room due to the symmetrical pole geometry and non-tapered floor. The two large vestibules leaves room for your gear and a friend's, with StayDry entry provided by built-in rain gutters on the rain fly. The MSR team added plenty of venting options to aid in the war against condensation, just roll up the vestibule from the bottom, open the kickstand side vents, or sleep through the night sans-vestibule. The mesh will protect you from pesky bugs. Rise early and pack up camp in a flash with the wide mouth stuff sack, cinching it tight with the attached compression straps.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I did a lot of research when it came to buying this tent. What ive come to realize is that the price is a testament to the high level of construction and quality of the materials. I chose this tent over the lighter tents because I was willing to compromise weight/size for strength/durability. This tent is definitely the best one out there and has been really well thought out. I love the fact that you can set up the fly first so that you dont have to get the body wet. I would highly recomend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again, and recommend it! I have used this product for car camping and backpacking! It works perfect for any situation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheaply made pole snapped and punctured thru the rainfly and that was setting it up in the living room. I would not recommend this tent at all. This has turned me off to all MSR tents. I have owned many tents this has never happeded. Gland we weren't in the backcountry

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pole broke the first time the tent was used. Main pole broke the first time this tent was set up (picked up the tent w/ my bag in it and the pole snapped) Seems like i got a defective pole and the easiest solution was to send a new one ... but MSR wouldn't do it. Called MSR to get a replacement and they said "NO" we will only replace one section and wanted to charge me shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome The best tent I have ever owned. Lightweight and quick to set up. Not only have I used it for backpacking trips but also for overnight SAR missions and Alpine Rescue training. This thing is comfortable but not too big.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tent Felt big for a 2 man tent! The elastic in the poles went slack after 2 pitches. Condensation formed on inside of fly when trying to take down in the morning. Bit other than that it was the perfect tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Buy I took this backpacking for an overnight trip and it was great. Very small and light in the pack, and it left lots of room for extra food! Didn't have a problem with condensation, although there was lots of ice on the inside of my fly the next morning. Can't wait to take it out this next weekend again. Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, classy and well thought out From the quality stakes to the guy lines and everything about this tent I like the feel design and setup. I've not yet had to set it up in a storm and would need to practice a fly first setup, but once up, love how sturdy it is. The best part is the half fly solution as I love to sleep with the fly off but want a quick fix should rain or snow move in. not had a tent before that does that as well as this one. one note: every Hubba counts. I accidentally bought the hubba nx footprint for the hubba hubba nx. Live and learn :)

What tent stakes come with tent?

Asked by: Mark
Hiya Mark, thanks for your question! MSR uses a couple different source locations for manufacturing their products, including stakes. Depending on where the tent was manufactured, it should include either the mini groundhog or needle stakes. Both options are good quality. Hope this helps!

What are the real-world floor dimensions of this tent?

Asked by: Amy1
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! FINALLY, asking for real-world dimensions, thank you! I am so sick and tired of measuring length by parrot-beaks and width by angst. Thank you sir. You're the hero we need. So, the length by width for this will be 84 x 50" and the inside height will be 39". Hope this helps you out!! Hugsies.

Would this be considered an appropriate tent for winter camping in climates like Michigan?

Asked by: makula11
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us. You bring up an excellent question. This tent is actually a three-season, meaning that it's good for Spring, Summer and Fall. It's not recommended that you use this one for Winter, especially here in Michigan! I would suggest checking out some Four-season tents. I'd check out the MSR Fury 2 Person Tent or even the MSR Dragontail 2 Person Tent. Both are solid tents.
