Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lines Very stylish, toasty coat which has the down seams in all the right places and directions (i.e., not horizontal). I have tried on numerous thigh-length down coats, including the newer ultra-thin down versions. Most of them are too curvy for me, and when they are unzipped they tend to flare out at the bottom. This coat has enough structure so that the zippered edges stay parallel even when unzipped. I purchased this coat in XSm (5'4", 110 lbs) and it hits perfectly on the thigh so I look normally proportioned and not chopped-up. Although hard to tell from the photo, the back hem is tapered towards the center and is actually 1"-2" longer, which gives it a very nice line and added length/warmth for sitting. The back view is very flattering, with just a few diagonal seams around the waist area. The sleeves are on the long side, but fit fine. The zippers are edged with black, leather-like thin cording. The hood is thick with down, which makes it very warm but it is also noticeable (not removable). The black heather color is almost charcoal grey, which I like a lot - so tired of solid black coats. I live in a mountain town, but this coat appears fashionable enough for the city as well. I can't really speak to durability or performance as it hasn't been through a winter yet, but based on the quality I will give it five stars for now and update if I conclude otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Town Jacket I have to say I'm a big Lole fan but this jacket is by far is the best fitting, longer down coat Lole has made. The slimming fit, warmth, durable & waterproof fabric hands down makes the Faith my go to jacket for this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional, Fashionable and Unique Okay first off - don't be buying this as the jacket to get you through a day with 40-below-zero windchills - that's not what it's made for. But if you're looking for a solid jacket to get you through an average winter day of running errands, and want to look fashion-forward and feminine while doing it, this is the jacket to buy. Since first purchasing this jacket, I have been getting compliments left-and-right! I purchased the gray and I absolutely love it; the fabric has a beautiful sheen. There is stitching lengthwise down each side of the jacket that creates a slimming effect and adds interest. The back of the jacket is longer than the front - a feature I've noticed on more than one Lole jacket - which gives it a more feminine effect, as well as protecting your rear when sitting on cold benches at the hockey rink. The "yoke" around the shoulders with the tweed-like fabric is also a great touch; to be honest I don't like the look of it nearly as well in the rose color, but on the gray jacket it rocks! The hood is amazing - this is the first fashionable winter jacket I've ever purchased, with a FUNCTIONAL hood. It has some sort of elastic around it to ensure it stays on your head even in the wind, and is lined with heavenly soft furry fleece. The cut of the jacket is figure-flattering; however beware of the chest area: it runs a bit small. I'm typically an XS or S in most clothing, so I ordered a S in this jacket. I'm keeping it, but to be honest the chest is a bit more snug than I'd like; if I had a heavy sweater on it wouldn't be as comfortable. I wonder if a M would have worked better, but it's not that big a deal so I'm just leaving it as-is. I'm 5'3", 118 lbs and a 34C for reference. It's an extremely unique jacket sold by a unique company based in Canada. The jacket itself is made in Bangladesh. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from warm and stylish I've only worn this a couple times so far and there are 2 things I don't love about it. The sleeves are a little tight in the upper under arm area on me and the collar is annoying on the chin but I think that will get better with wear. The color, fabric and cut is great and make the above problems negligible for the most part. The hood when up is also wonderful. I'm 5'4" and 135lbs and the med fits overall well. Some dresses by Lole I have are a small and fit well but with this jacket I would go a size up, especially if you'll be wearing layers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cute warm coat I purchased this coat since my old down coat is very old. I like the styling of this coat and it fit well, the length would be nice for driving and walking. I did end up returning it. My husband said the grayish color was not for me. Also the zipper came right up under my chin and the hood puffs up a lot, so it would not have worked well with my infinity scarfs. But if your not into an infinity scarf, this is a really nice coat and seamed like it would have been very warm. They should make it in more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way This coat is absolutely the best winter coat I own. Beautifully made. Streamline and sophisticated. It does not add bulk to your body. The hi - low hemline is on trend and looks amazing on with leggings and boots. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Coat Ever! I have had this coat for a month now and could not be happier. We have been having seriously cold, negative temps and this coat has kept me toasty warm and happy. The hood on it is amazing! It's padded and lined so it is super warm. I've never had a coat with a cozy hood, and I'm not sure I can live without it now. I LOVE the color (I bought the red), and I love the longer length and the stitching patterns. Stylish and functional. For sure my favorite coat I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket! I got this for my wife for her birthday. She loves it! The tall neck keeps the winter wind chill out and she even uses the hood (She doesn't put anything on her head). We also go to a lot of hockey games and the length is just long enough so it cushions her bottom and keeps it warm on those cold bleachers.

What makes this jacket labelled "ethical?" Anyone know whether this brand pluck the down from a live or dead bird?

Asked by: ella
Thanks for the question! Ethically sourced means the down has not come from birds whose feathers and down were plucked while they were living or who were force fed in order to increase meat production.

what temp range would this work in?

Asked by: ljo10
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Actually, this coat does not have a temperature rating. In fact, most coats do not have temperature ratings. This is for several reasons. Mainly, it's because warmth is a subjective thing, unique to each person. Not only that, but there are other factors that can affect a person's (jacket's) warmth: wind, humidity, activity level, what else your wearing, etc. However, there are still helpful hints you can use to guide you. Best bet will be to check the insulation. The higher the fill, the warmer the jacket. That should be your basic rule of thumb. For this jacket, it has a Downglow 500 insulation. That's a good sign that this jacket will be keeping you warm. Hope this helped you out!
