Could a 6'1" 220 lb man use this? Ive seen Leki walking sticks on other sites that said it would only support 220 at the max and a 5'9" max height.

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I got the response from Leki, let me throw it on down here! "Given the customer's height and weight, I would go with a pole that has an 18/16mm shaft size, such as the Sierra Speedlock, Makalu AS, Makalu Retro or Kumara. Our poles can hold up to 309 pounds of direct pressure. If he goes with a pole that has a 16/14mm shaft size and only extend to 130cm or 135cm, chances are he will over extend the lower section to accommodate his height and that's when breakage normally occurs." Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.

Can I purchase replacement tips?

Asked by: NanT
Thanks for the question! Yes, both the rubber and the carbide tips are replaceable. I included links below for both. I hope this helps! http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Leki-Rubber-Tip_10007817_10208_10000001_-1_ http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Leki-Universal-Carbide-Flex-Tip_10030754_10208_10000001_-1_

I am looking for a Leki Makalu Trail pole that I purchased years ago.  It telescopes out at 2 locations & works great for both my husband at 6'3" and myself at 6".  It has a rubber tip and a small rubber "basket" at the bottom.

Thanks for the question! I have not seen the Makalu poles since back in 2004. Unfortunately, we no longer have any available. If you are considering an updated version, I would check out the Corklite DSS Trekking Poles. They are shock absorbing, have an aluminum, and a cork grip. The maximum pole length is 135 centimeters. I included a link below. Hope this helps a little! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Leki-Corklite-DSS-Trekking-Poles_10337302_10208_10000001_-1_
