Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you like comfortable shoe Mythos are it! If you want aggressive not it! Very comfortable NOT Aggressive shoes i.e. toes are Not pointed down like a ballerina shoe. I have tried Miura & now own Katana. Every time they say aggressive the shoe is shaped pointed down.,,Fit: I wear 8.5 street and bought 39, it was little snug but stretchd 2 be perfect. Bcause of the pointd toe & goofy heel, miura & Katana size for me was 40. My foot does not "fill" the heel cup in Miura & Katana.,,Cons: Laces are very long. Because of the leather shoe can get stinky.,,,,Moosejaw custy srvce is fantastic as usual. Best stickers on package ever, My UPS guy is cracking up each time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At the end of a long day, I love nothing more than to put on my jammies, cuddle up in front of the T Oh, yeah, uh, climbing. I use them for that too. And my friends keep trying to steal them and buy me new shoes because they say my feet shouldn't be so comfy.,,,,These shoes are great for all day outdoors, multi pitch. Once you get above the 5.10's, you are going to want something more aggressive. I bought these too big when I was an uninformed beginner. Since then they have stretch a FULL SIZE! So buy them really really painfully tight, or you will be sorry later when you can't use them anymore. I would suggest them to semi-experience climbers who want a second shoe for longer days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent trad shoe I just bought my second pair of these. They've allowed me to comfortably climb all-day trad routes without ever having to take my shoes off. I think they're great in cracks and solid for smearing. I found them to hold up well after resole (R&R in Boulder) as well. I wear a 7.5 women's street and a 37 in these shoes. They do stretch quite a bit when you first break them in. For comparison, I also regularly use the women's lace-up Muiras for shorter/sportier climbs and Evolv Elektras in the gym. I climb outdoors 2-3 weekends/month but am only climbing 5.9 and lower in the Mythos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy these! (but be smart about sizing) I bought these as my first pair of shoes back in December for my first big multi-pitch trip. I wore them straight out of the box (in theory, so stupid) but they were SO COMFORTABLE! I've basically torn them up big time since then but they've held up as well as to be expected. My one complaint is that they have stretched--a lot. I'm partially guilty, though, as I'm not the best at changing shoes immediately after a climb.I bought a 37 which really required me to jam my foot in there initially, but the next pair I buy will likely be a 35 or maybe even 34.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, Durable and Highly Effective I've owned all kinds of climbing shoes and the day I bought my first pair of La Sportiva's was the day I realized I could never wear anything else. These shoes truly illustrate the basic principal that is "buy right or buy twice" (or in some cases buy 3 times or 4, ect). Like all of La Sportiva's other climbing shoes, the Mythos exceeds expectations in quality, durability and comfort. The thick sticky rubber soles last longer than any other shoe I have ever destroyed and will keep your toes on the rock!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from super-comfy (just buy 'em tight)! comfortable + effective? is that possible? are these really climbing shoes!??! like the other reviews said, buy the smallest size you can squeeze into - they'll be tight at first but after a few climbs, they'll feel like a dream. a dream with marshmallow clouds and unicorns!! ,,,,oh. and the lace-around-the-heel design keeps em nice and tight around your ankles. and the little vents keep your feet fresh (well, as fresh as one could hope for after a long day of climbing...) awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I adore them. These are the best shoes in my closet. They are super comfortable, I don't have to whine about sore toes while everyone else walks around blistered and barefoot all day. I have had mine for over a year (while climbing in a gym about once a week) and they are still in perfect condition- no worn spots. And they look pretty awesome too. Overall these are totally worth the money for the more recreational climbers who don't want their feet to look like those bound-footed Chinese women.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes are SO rad! So I bought my pair of Mythos a couple of weeks ago because my hand-me-down pair of MadRock's were held together with duct tape. When I bought these shoes I did mainly sport climbing, which in turn, they are GREAT for! They are comfortable and practical. I went to the Obed last month and took these babies with me, and on the first day they held up well (mainly because we were just lead climbing), but we went out to the Lilly Boulders for the rest of the week and these are not too great when working on problems that require you to hold on with your toes and fingers. The shoe just is not arched enough, nor does it have enough of a talon for those kinds of problems. Over all though, this shoe is wicked. Because I'm more of a sport climber, I can't knock them for not being aggressive enough to boulder in.

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
