Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Aggressive Shoe After climbing out a pair of Scarpa Techno Xs, my first trad shoes, I decided to buy a pair of Testarossas to help me climb several 5.10s and a 5.11 at my local crag. I'm happy to report that I was able to stick on some of the small edges which I could not balance on with my Technos and have sent a couple of my projects! I'd recommend this shoe if you're looking to edge and heel hook with more control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Narrow Feet! I have worn this shoe about 5 times now and am in love. I am a size 101/2 or 11 womens street shoe but my foot is AA narrow. I bought a size 39 or womens 7 1/2. In retrospect I should have gotten a 40.(I have the la sportiva solutions in a 38.5 and they are comfortable). These shoes are great. I can heel hook like a dream, the heel cup sucks my foot in when I was swimming in the solutions. I found them comfortable at first but after a few hours of climbing my feet were done. I ended up soaking them in boiling water and then wearing them around my house which has stretched them out quite a bit. I love steep boulders ans lead routes so the agressiveness is amazing. I would not recomend as a first agressive shoe. The solutions are great to ease into agressive shoes. But if you have narrow feet like me these are a great shoe. I highly recomend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe! These shoes are great for sport climbing. the heel cup fits me better than any other shoe I've owned. Be advised that these shoes will stretch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ninja climbing shoes Great technical shoe, sticky rubber, excellent for overhanging routes and small edges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Testarossa: Lace up Solutions w/o the Bulbous Heel Summary: For those who like the Solution fit, but want a heel that you can feel. Or you can think of them as a more aggressive Muira. Fit: The shoe fits comfortably with the soft leather wrapping around your foot. The shoe will slightly stretch as a result, but I have yet to notice any significant amount of stretching. Design: Not as bold as its other La Sportiva brethren, it's looks feel more contemporary with the red and yellow leather. Assessment: Particularly adept at bouldering, steeper climbing, edging, and vertical climbs, this shoe's stiff midsole transmits power succinctly for these types of climbs. Conversely, the rubber is not as helpful on slabby routes or problems requiring smearing. Bottom Line: A classic, no-frills, good all-around bouldering shoe. Despite the technological advancements of its counterparts, the Testarossas are still held in high regard. As for me: I switch between these shoes and my dragons depending on the climb, its requirements, or how I feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lace ups. Same rand & platform as the solution, but with laces. These shoes do everything well except heel hook. Buy them! Unless you have big feet. Then you'll look like RM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performing shoe It seems like the sizing has changed or the demo shoes I tried before were significantly stretched out. I've been wearing 36 Miuras for many years and many pair of shoes. I can comfortably do multi-pitch climb without even slipping them off on belays, but I could not stand the new 36 Testarossas on my feet for 5 minutes around the house. I've exchanged them for a half size larger, still waiting for their arrival, but I know they are awesome shoe after trying a demo pair for the entire night at the gym (great edging decent fit)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edge Masters I am a fairly new climber and jumped into a pair of Futuras that I sized down a couple of sizes because that's "what you're supposed to do". Long story short, they hurt my feet. So I stopped wearing them picked up a pair of testarossas and I am extremely happy with them. They edge like a dream. If you are looking for a step up from the beginner shoes you have had sense you started this is the shoe for you.

NOTES and FIT INFO
La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.

La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.

La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.

Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.

Lined shoes stretch about a half size.
