Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit. Greater shoes. For having a camber to them, they are surprisingly comfortable but still snug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pair Bought this a few days ago, the first few times it hurt my feet breaking them in but now they're great. I ordered 1 size down from my sneaker size (9.5 to 8.5) and it fit just tight enough. Great pair of shoes with a good arch that allows you to get those tiny footholds. Would say the shoe is just right to be able to boulder/lead/top-rope as it's a good mix of comfort and practicality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Call My Solutions "Beast Mode" So I climbed 5 hours in these bad boys the day I got them, and honestly wrecked my feet. They are very snug fitting (maybe I got 1/2 size too small?) but they feel GREAT on the wall, esp bouldering. Anyways after my feet healed I've been slowly working back into them and they are great. Still a little snug but I love them thru the pain. Can't wear for too long and definitely can't walk around on them, but they do what I want them to do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shoes of a heely nature Bought these in the hopes of being able to heel hook better. I could put this heel on a hold covered in oil and be pretty sure it wouldn't slip. these things keep that heel in place on all manner of holds. so does it meet my expectations? no... it exceeds them by a landslide! the only reason I rated comfort as low is because I bought them in the size of shoes i usually wear and they run a bit small so not super comfy as i would like, but they are good enough in that regard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe Bought a few weeks ago, although I got the show I bit too big, I could tell it was a great product! they said I was able to return it no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Solution for your Projects Hardcore fan of the Testarossa and Muira Laces, the Solutions are my favorite shoe for hard, steep sport climbs and boulder problems. the shoe fits snugly as I wear a Size 40 EU street shoe (7.5 US) and downsized these bad boys to a 37 EU. The shoe stretched almost a full size within 5 hard days of climbing. The edging and aggressiveness of the shoe helped me really stick to some sketchy foot holds. The heel cup is super solid and allowed my heel hooks to sink into place. The shoe is rather stiff, coming from the Testarossa and Muiras, but the stiffness and P3 power band helped a ton on the overhanging routes I so dearly enjoy. The stiffness almost made it feel like the tiny pockets my toes were dug into were extended and enlarged to the entire shoe. It feels as if the shoe is an extension of the foot hold!! Although the shoe is on the stiffer side, LaSportiva was able to make the toe box feel really sensitive. I can be confident on the edging because I am able to feel/sense the holds beneath my feet. speaking of toe box, that huge patch of rubber on top of the toe box sticks to just about anything with little to no effort. Much better toe hooking ability than the Testarossas. All in all, a great shoe for the hardcore climber looking for the most advantageous tool to help him/her send their hardest projects. NOTE: If you size this shoe appropriately, bare out the stretching phase, you will NOT need to cinch the strap down so tight that it will break, like many of the other reviewers have posted.

LA SPORTIVA FIT GUIDE and INFO

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOES:
• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOE FIT SYSTEMS:
• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

HIKING, BACKPACKING and MOUNTAINEERING BOOTS:
• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
