The La Sportiva Men's Miura VS Shoe is a climbing shoe for sport routes, gym climbing, bouldering, as well as technical face climbing. The Miura VS is everything you love about the original Miura, with an easy on/easy off Velcro closure. The leather upper stretches just enough to conform to your foot while the synthetic lining on the inside controls the amount of stretch. The bottom of the foot is unlined for better awareness against the rock. The high asymmetry allows for better pocket climbing and the XS Edge rubber allows for technical edging. The durable and resistant rubber keeps them going strong. Velcro isn't just for toddlers.

FEATURES of the La Sportiva Men's Miura VS Shoe

  • Easy to use hook and loop closure system for easy on and off convenience
  • Slingshot rand and power hinge system gives you the ultimate edging power
  • 4mm vibram XS Edge sticky rubber outsole
  • One-piece leather upper has a synthetic Dentex lining to control stretch
  • Unlined under the foot to allow for excellent sensitivity on micro edges and smears
  • Built on the P3® platform which maintains the downturned shape of the shoe making it excellent for steep overhangs
  • Slip lasted construction gives these more sensitivity, allowing you to focus your foot strength on the smallest of edges

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great edging performance and fit The Muria VS is a stiff (compared to women's Muira), down-turned shoe, so unless you have been climbing for a while and have built up a little pain tolerance in your feet, I don't recommend this shoe. If you can handle the discomfort of an aggressive shoe, the Muira VS will provide great edging, toeing in, and heel hooking power. Also, La Sportivas (all of them) have a superior fit for my foot. They have all the curves of a human foot, unlike Evolv and some 5.10 shoes. The only real downside to these shoes is the high price and the rate at which the sole wears out. Still, I recommend these shoes to anyone seeking a high performance climbing shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome edging/bouldering shoe! I wore a pair of 5.10 Moccasyms that I burned through in a few months and decided to pick these up. I wear a size 10 US street shoe, got these in a size 43 and they fit very snug, although the left boot feels somewhat tighter/smaller than the right one, but I may have gotten a defective pair. Regardless, this shoe is top notch. It edges amazingly on the smallest chips. Great for heel hooks, although it's relatively harder to toe hook because of it's down turned platform, compared to the Moccasyms. I've been using them about 3 times a week for about 5 weeks now and I'm almost done breaking them in. I would definitely consider buying another pair again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crafted by the gods themselves The VS is my first Sportiva shoe. I wear an 11 street shoe and got these boots in a 9.5, mainly because I will only boulder in them, save the occasional steep sport route. The shoe hugs my foot allowing no room for air pockets or space. Literally, like a glove. This shoe is especially strong on small pockets and jibs. The downturned toe keeps me on the wall. I have to say I usually can climb v7-v8 bouldering but I sent my first v9 with these boots. The Miura VS was definitely a great investment for me. Best shoe so far. Oh, also, I had some solutions before these shoes and the Miura VS is tons better because of the better fitting heel cup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get em!! These are the best all around shoes IMHO. Super sticky rubber, awesome heel hooks and pretty comfortable for the performance you get out of them. Great for everything except not the best for flatwall due to the agressive downturn last. I wear 10.5 and 11 in street shoes and got a 41.5 in these. They break in pretty good but you def wanna take them off after climbing due to the wonderful P3 platform. I've climbed in them 2-3 times a week for a solid year now and they are still nice and downturned. Rubber is holding up pretty good too! One note- on the bottom velcro, be sure to completely undue them before taking them off so they don't tear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Agressive Climbing Device! I have very wide feet. This ergonomy let me choose 5.10 climbing shoes for years because they were the only one that I could deal with. Beeing used to 5.10 shoes I was very surprised when I tried to Miura VS Shoe just for fun. It felt perfect. I purchased them and love them since then. Like the Mirua with laces it is a shoe for agressive climbing and routes. It gives you perfect hold on the smalest stuff you can find. The Vibram sole gives perfect hold on the rock. The three velcro bands, of which one goes against the direction of the other two, allow a very fine tuning for different feet. It is a perfect shoe for a perfect climing day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stick to anything Stickiness/Wear and Tear/Looks:,,Absolutely love these shoes for all types of climbing (except ice I guess). They'll stick to anything, you just have to learn to trust them. They're also still going strong; the rubber is holding up fantastically, they don't smell, and all in all they're pretty clean, and they've looked good from the beginning.,,,,Sizing:,,I sized down pretty drastically for these. I'm an 11.5 men's street shoe, and I sized down to a 42.5, which is right around a 9.5... roughly two full sizes lower than my normal size. To put that in perspective, I've owned some Evolvs and Five Tens, and I ran around size 10.5 in those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No interest in trying another shoe! My first comfortable climbing shoe. I have worn Sportiva Crosslites and Cirque Pros in a 43.5 until moving exclusively to Five Fingers (43 in Sprints, Classicas and Bikilas, 42 in KSOs and Treks) and ordered a 43 in the Miura VS. I tried a 42 Miura and they were just too painful and ineffective in that size. This shoe has improved my footwork immensely; it will edge on the smallest of features and has allowed me the joys of a proper heel hook. The exaggerated downturn of the toe is just right: not too much that I can't wear these for hours and too little to stick and pull anything. Nail the sizing and you will have no disappointments!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Am going back to this pair after my current five ten black wing wears out! I owned 6 pairs of climbing shoes til date and I've concluded that La Sportiva lives up to its name. Despite being more expensive and it burns the pocket, its the shoe to go for both comfort and performance!,,,,Miura's rubber remained stiff and downturn arc maintained after 1 year. Compared to other shoes that I've owned so far, its still the best!,,,,Tongue cushion is comfy and has sufficient padded feel without the bulk and doesn't take too long to dry when soaked. ,,,,Colour combi looks great too when climbing! I am an avid sports boulderer and this pair really allowed me to "claw hooked" on to small foot holds on bad overhangs!

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
