The La Sportiva Men's Wildcat Shoe is a trail running shoe for cushion on medium to tough terrain. The Wildcat uses a single density midsole to provide plenty of cush as you hit mile after mile of trail. The shoe is a stable and neutral runner with grip for uneven dirt. The medium-wide fit leaves plenty of space for your foot while the honeycomb mesh lining in the heel and tongue keep your feet dry as you sweat. An AirMesh upper with trail cage allows additional breathability and a barrier against rocks and debris from tearing up the outsides. Power through your workout with the grippy FriXion AT outsole with Impact Brake System to help control your slow down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indestructible (puppy approved) After my sweet 3 month old black lab decided to make a snack out of my old trail runners, I was in the market for some puppy approved shoes. Hiking fourteeners, being a bad a**, and backpacking in tennis shoes is just not cool or comfortable. So now that my black lab is a 11 month old young man (and his shoe chewing is in the past... I think). I invested in these bad boys. Super light and comfortable. Perfect for day hiking and backpacking (if you have good ankles). And the precious black lab angel won't dare stick a canine on it. Pretty much what I am saying is that these bad boys are perfect for anyone and anything. I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best approach/ running shoe ever!! Ok listen, i ran cross country and track in high school, 2 years ago, and i ran over 5000 miles in 4 years..(i know my running stuff) I have a PR in the mile as 4:44 and a 2 mile of 10:27. These shoes GRIP EVERYTHING on dirt, leaves, gravel, grass, you name it. now, there not the best for running on the sidewalk, but if your going on soft ground such as the terrain previously named, buy these. The rubber is so freaking sticky. the shoe is narrow so buyer beware! I have a narrow and foot and the size 10 was true to size! amazing shoe that feels like it rock with when you heel to toe transfer. ...simply incredible running shoe for the Smokies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All a rounder I really dig these shoes for runs both on and off trail but more so when i'm not on pavement. This is the second pair of Sportiva runners I have had and I came back for a reason. I really like the support I feel like I had laterally on the trail. The cushioning is just right for my liking and the distances I put in. As for the GTX liner I sometimes wonder why I go for shoes with a waterproof liner since when its raining water is certainly going to get into the shoe over the top. However, when the rain stops, I found the puddles are no match and my feet stay dry. As for the sizing I feel they are true to size, especially if you know and use the euro sizes.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trail shoe ever! The wildcat is as named, one bad mother! This shoe is by far the most comfortable trail shoe I've ever owned. The tread pattern also grabs the trails in almost any condition (except ice, but then just add screws or spikes to the shoes). I did have concerns about the soft upper, but my feet have been protected thanks to the toe guard. I have ran with this shoe for two years with two pair(one is an older model), which are both still in decent condition despite the abuse from rocks, roots and other trail hazards.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A comfortable shoe for trail running or day hiking. This is a good looking, comfortable shoe. It handled pretty well for trail running and day hiking. However, eventually due to rubbing and abrasions when on the trail, the mesh near the little toe will break. At this point tries to slide out through the new opening and the shoe is no longer useable. I didn't track the mileage on the shoe up to this point, so while I had the shoe for a year and did many many hikes, I expected it to last a bit longer. I would not expect this kind of failure with a shoe that used more standard materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I want to buy a few more pairs. Hikes:,,-3 different moderately strenuous 10 mile hikes climbing 1000-2000 feet in elevation.,,,,Sizing:,,-I'm usually 10.5 neutral arch and neutral stride. I had to size up to 11 because my feet are slightly wider. 44.5 fit nice and perfectly snug. I had about half inch of room in front of my toes so they didn't bang the front when I was stomping down hill. No heel lift and no blisters.,,,,Pros:,,-Lightweight,,-Super breathable,,-Great traction,,-Stiff sole provide excellent stability and support,,,,Cons:,,-No durability issues yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to all around shoe. Just bought my second pair! Great shoe. Really well ventilated as I'm used to running in hotter climates and my feet stay cool. I'm a bit heavier so the cushion on this shoe is perfect for me when on the trail or hoofing it around town all day. My feet are just a bit wider than average. With that, these shoes run a bit narrow, but break in so nicely that it feels like they hug my feet perfectly after a couple weeks of wear. This is now my go-to shoe for whatever I'm up to!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rockin investment So I used to opt for the minimalist barefoot runny hippy dippy running stuff. The problem is I am 6'5" and weigh 200 lbs so the minimalist shoes were killer on my body. I recomend these shoes for anyone who is serious about long distance trail running, weight lifting, day hikes, and lightweight fast paced backpacking. I recommend sizing down half a size for maximum efficency. I am a size 13 mens and went down to 12.5, the result is zero friction or movement. no blisters and no sore feet from loose shoes. The mesh lining is rugged and wont get caught on sharp branches or cactuses, it also dries super quick and breaths well throughout the durration of your run. I do not recomend however any mountainbiking in these, the soles are grippy on dirt and mud and rocks but not on your peddels when riding. bottom line, all round durable, comfortable shoe

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
