The La Sportiva Men's Wildcat Shoe is a trail running shoe for cushion on medium to tough terrain. The Wildcat uses a single density midsole to provide plenty of cush as you hit mile after mile of trail. The shoe is a stable and neutral runner with grip for uneven dirt. The medium-wide fit leaves plenty of space for your foot while the honeycomb mesh lining in the heel and tongue keep your feet dry as you sweat. An AirMesh upper with trail cage allows additional breathability and a barrier against rocks and debris from tearing up the outsides. Power through your workout with the grippy FriXion AT outsole with Impact Brake System to help control your slow down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rockin investment So I used to opt for the minimalist barefoot runny hippy dippy running stuff. The problem is I am 6'5" and weigh 200 lbs so the minimalist shoes were killer on my body. I recomend these shoes for anyone who is serious about long distance trail running, weight lifting, day hikes, and lightweight fast paced backpacking. I recommend sizing down half a size for maximum efficency. I am a size 13 mens and went down to 12.5, the result is zero friction or movement. no blisters and no sore feet from loose shoes. The mesh lining is rugged and wont get caught on sharp branches or cactuses, it also dries super quick and breaths well throughout the durration of your run. I do not recomend however any mountainbiking in these, the soles are grippy on dirt and mud and rocks but not on your peddels when riding. bottom line, all round durable, comfortable shoe

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to all around shoe. Just bought my second pair! Great shoe. Really well ventilated as I'm used to running in hotter climates and my feet stay cool. I'm a bit heavier so the cushion on this shoe is perfect for me when on the trail or hoofing it around town all day. My feet are just a bit wider than average. With that, these shoes run a bit narrow, but break in so nicely that it feels like they hug my feet perfectly after a couple weeks of wear. This is now my go-to shoe for whatever I'm up to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best running shoes i ever had. Really. For hot summer thy are the best. Great ventilation and very strong mesh against damages. Also in case of filling the water in - this shoes will get dry very fast, unlike the others with Gore-Tex. I use them for trail running, orienting and rogaining. My experience was rogaining for 12 hours that included 8 hours of walking and 4 hour of running. And it was OK with my legs. I wold like to have the second pair of this shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best damn shoe on the market period. I have done things with this shoe that I could never have dreamed I'd do. I'm a diabetic and everyone knows how terrible diabetic feet can be......yeah well with the Wildcat my feet are like "Hell yeah lets go farther!" So I do. I wear these everyday. I trail run, backpack, play soccer, softball, frisbee golf, and everything else in these. Heck the only thing I've not done in these is make sweet love....Challenge accepted! ,,,,The toe support has saved my toes probably literally millions of times. The insole is amazing this is the first trail runner I have not had to swap out the insole for my superfeet insole. The traction is amazing, I have more grip than any all terrain tire could offer any 4x4 on the market! I was loling at my buddy just yesterday as he was slipping up a muddy hill in his Jesus Sandals aka Chaco's as I passed him without one slip of the foot! Heel support? Yeah it's there no complaints from this guy. Do they breath? Yeah probably better than you do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite shoe period. I've put a lot of miles on my wildcats and have nothing but good things to say about them. I mostly use the for backpacking, but I've used them for trail running ultimate frisbee, disc golf and much much more. In each situation they excel. They're lightweight. They breath well. The support is excellent. I liked them so much I bought a second pair which are sitting in the closet waiting for my first pair to finally wear out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trail shoe ever! The wildcat is as named, one bad mother! This shoe is by far the most comfortable trail shoe I've ever owned. The tread pattern also grabs the trails in almost any condition (except ice, but then just add screws or spikes to the shoes). I did have concerns about the soft upper, but my feet have been protected thanks to the toe guard. I have ran with this shoe for two years with two pair(one is an older model), which are both still in decent condition despite the abuse from rocks, roots and other trail hazards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I want to buy a few more pairs. Hikes:,,-3 different moderately strenuous 10 mile hikes climbing 1000-2000 feet in elevation.,,,,Sizing:,,-I'm usually 10.5 neutral arch and neutral stride. I had to size up to 11 because my feet are slightly wider. 44.5 fit nice and perfectly snug. I had about half inch of room in front of my toes so they didn't bang the front when I was stomping down hill. No heel lift and no blisters.,,,,Pros:,,-Lightweight,,-Super breathable,,-Great traction,,-Stiff sole provide excellent stability and support,,,,Cons:,,-No durability issues yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for almost everything Very happy with this shoe, although had to return it for a larger size. It's cut a bit narrow, but has a good size toe box that is great. I'm a 10.5 and had to go to a 44.5 in this shoe.,,I'ts vedry stable on the trail and good support all around. It's very light and breaths well. ,,Good looking too!!!

LA SPORTIVA FIT GUIDE and INFO

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOES:
• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOE FIT SYSTEMS:
• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

HIKING, BACKPACKING and MOUNTAINEERING BOOTS:
• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
