Rated 5 out of 5 by from What boots? As a lifetime boot wearer, I ordered these on a whim after a hearing a friend sing the praises of hiking in trail runners, figuring that if I wasn't crazy about wearing them hiking, at least the green color looks sharp. Right out of the box, these were true to my usual fit-size 43. These are my Goldilocks shoes-just enough arch support, but not so much you'll jack up your knees all weird, just the right amount of wiggle room in the toe box, and a good cushion around the heel so even in super low-cut socks you shouldn't get any nasty rubbing. ,,,,These are solid on the trail-southern NM is mostly limestone that will tear everything you own up, and these soles are holding up like new after 200+ miles of hiking and some trail running. I think the traction is even better than my La Sportiva hiking boots, especially on a descent. ,,,, I would be willing to sacrifice some breathability for waterproofing, but they dry quickly and with the right (merino wool toe)socks, it's no biggie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Say goodbye to boots If your looking to throw out your heavy boots but don't want to go full minimalist these are great. The fit is great and the shoe has so many specifications to make your hike safe and fun. the impact brake system is awesome but wears out fast. and the rubber tips on the side will make slide on wet rocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light n tight Love em. Sole is solid. Stiff but aggressive. Fit is snug which provides extra support while allowing material to be light and thus a lighter shoe. I was hesitant at first as the fit seemed too tight but I've found I just absolutely love running in these puppies. La sportive you have done it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe elevated me to bad ass mo fo Seriously I have a shoe problem. You name it I've probably run in it searching for the "perfect" shoe. You see, I like to turn a hike into a mountain run and finding a shoe that allows me to deal with the White Mountains hiking but also not be too bulky for some running has proved to be... well, difficult. ,,,,Enter the Bushido. ,,,,Hiking: though the top isn't uber stiff the heal has support along with the sole. The rubber is sticky enough to be able to hike on the wonderful granite and schist of NH and there is enough cushion that my feet don't kill me at the end of the day. While it says they aren't made for a full pack (I think) you can rock miles with weight no problem.,,,,Running: while I like a 0 - 4mm drop in my shoes for running the increase drop in these isn't dramatic and when coming down a 4000 footer at speed the added beefy-ness in the heal is kinda nice. Not a Hoka but definitely nice. ,,,,Random nicety: the combo bulkier bottom paired with the soft top saves your ankles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great grip bought these for trail running. they have incredible grip even when wet. for serious off road runners. fit very tight by design to eliminate blisters, not to wear as a casual shoe

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer Shoe! Stable and light on all terrain Bought these for some night runs we do on single track and gnarly fire roads. These are stable and light. They run a bit snug, but I like fit once they break in a bit

Rated 3 out of 5 by from runs very small I ordered half size larger. They are still too tight. Will try going 1.5X larger hopefully that works, they look like great shoes.

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
