Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable! I took this pad with me to Utah and Arizona and loved it for several reasons. First and most important was that even on my side I was nicely suspended above the ground. And I have really bony hips! I also liked the packability of the pad as I had to take all of my gear on a plane. While it weighs about 25 oz, it packed down to about the size of a nalgene bottle, so it took up no room! It took about 12-14 breaths to blow up, so it was really quick to set up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome all around Being a father of a big family who love to camp the insulated static v pad has been an awesome addition to our camping gear. Keeping my self and my kids warm at night and off of the hard ground it is for sure worth the money. I have used my static v pad on many Scout and family camping trips and my kids also use them on scout trips and sleep overs at friends houses. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and effective Weight isn't really a big factor for me as long as I'm really comfortable on a pad and this definitely delivers. It's very easy to adjust the pressure with the nozzle and I love how small it rolls down, takes up hardly any space in my pack. The only negative is there is a little bit more noise during the night from the pad rubbing the tent bottom, but that's just nit-picky, it doesn't bother me. Rated 5 out of 5 by from WARM! Best sleeping pad I have ever had. Been through several of the other brands attempts at a pad and the don't hold hold. I actually used the patch kit that came with the klymit to fix my old pad so a friend could use it. Size and weight are great on this model. This being the insulated version it's a tad bigger and has a few more ounces to carry in your pack is all worth it on a cold night. I can easily get mine to pack / roll down to the size of a Nalgene bottle. My girlfriend now has one of these and I just got 2 of the non insulated static v's for the kiddos. I also have one of the pillows but I have had it out camping yet. I have my eyes on the pack boat next, have some high alpine lakes in mind for it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super compact I've used this pad in my hammock with great results. I have the hammock version as well but it isn't as well insulated. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pad. A bit squeaky. I purchased this pad since it was fairly lightweight and priced well. It's a great insulator which kept me warm in 20ish degrees and pretty comfortable, but it does squeak as you move around on it, sometimes, not always. If it was just a bit lighter and didn't squeak as much I'd give it 5 stars. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Im shocked! First off, i never give 5 star reviews just on principle that NOTHING is perfect. However....this may as well be. I've been a hammock camper for a while now. Its been a fun road of travel but I may converting to ground camping after buying this pad. I have never had much comfort in my hammock, to be honest, so decided I would try sleeping on the ground again. I was never very comfortable on other sleeping pads, mats, etc., so my expectations for the Static V were pretty low. I went with the Insulated Static V line because of the shape and features looked as thought there was more thought put into its design than a mere inflatable balloon. I tried out the first night I received it and I was shocked, SHOCKED I TELL YOU at how comfortable I was. It kept me well insulated from the ground on a cool, spring night. I havent tested it in very low temps yet but I believe I could be comfy down into the 30's with this- me being a warm sleeper, mind you. I love the fact that I can reach up and easily adjust the firmness of the pad by releasing a little air. I like a softer mattress and even when under inflated I do not touch the ground while lying there. Sure, as I move around and my weight gets unevenly spread out I can feel the ground through it but it evens out once I'm still again. The dimensions are good for me and would fit a taller person fine, I'm only 5'4" so its kind of a non factor for me. The width is nice and wide and works well for back sleepers. However, I tend to sleep on my side/stomach with a knee drawn up so if I lay this way my knee will no longer be on the pad. If I have one complaint (if you can call it that) it would be that I cant sleep in my most comfortable position with this pad. BUT....That's why they have the wider LUXE which I may likely upgrade to. All in all this is the most comfortable pad I've ever used, bar none. The hammock setup i use has gotten pretty bulky and almost to the point of being more cumbersome that carrying a tent. Using this pad, a sleeping bag and a tarp has significantly lightened my load and eased my pack size. It packs up really small, smaller than a Foster's beer can but bigger than a normal beer can...if that makes sense. I can afford the few extra oz and bulk of the LUXE model. Highly recommend this pad. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
