Rated 5 out of 5 by from It carries me. I carried this knife daily since 2005 or 2006. I have owned both the tanto style and the drop point style. I have lost this knife twice and replaced it twice, the most recent edition being from 2008. It does hold an edge well, I have always had the serrated version, though would rather not as I feel its a waste of usable time I lose it I will replace it with no serration. The flip works flawless after years of constant use and abuse, the serration has never been sharpened and is still razor sharp. The flat portion is easily sharpened. I highly recommend this knife, though I feel like 109 bucks is way more than the 60 I paid for it in 2008.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice knife for moderate to heavy use I had the S30V steel version with G10 inserts on aluminum handle. ,,,,Pros: assisted opening is definitely assisted. -Blade is well sharpened, though not as much as a leek comes. -handle is well designed and fit comfortably in my hand. blade profile is very useful for cutting and slicing. Retention is good. Lockup is very solid, with no play. At least for mine.,, ,,Cons: Blade length is above legal limit in my state of residence; pushed me away from carrying it regularly. Kershaw clip is far from deep carry; the knife stuck out and was easily noticed when carried in pockets. ,,,,Bottom line: A great knife, well designed. Definitely good for use in the outdoors, and in more rough circumstances. Not a knife I found good for EDC. ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great nice and worth the price of admission wicked awesome knife I've had a decent Buck and asst'd swiss army knives - the Kershaw blur is great the one-handed opening 'speedsafe' impresses the friends and genuinely makes it easy if you've got your other hand holding a rope or stick or what-have-ya it's not scary-fast and you don't risk chopping anything off the side that opens is backside o' knife no edge/not sharp but it has a satisfying thunk it does hold an edge really well the grip material is tactile and nubby and great - the pocket-clip being reversible is cool but you might need a mini cellphone-type screwdriver, type that changes faceplates it's a weird little torx-type star screw great weight to it i wouldn't camp/climb/ride

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Knife - used for hunting, fishing, camping, daily use I've had this knife for about 2 years now. You can see the wear and tear on the handle but the blade is still fine as ever. I've used this knife for hunting, camping, fishing, backpacking, and everything else. It has never failed to do the job. I've only had to sharpen it one time, so the blade holds its edge. Bottom line, I would fork up the cash and buy this blade. My in the straight blade, but that is just my preference. I've even used this knife as my duty knife when working, it’s reliable and the assisted open function is phenomenal.,,,,You should probably buy this knife right now!,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber & Versatile, Highly Suggest! Great knife! Good size for everday pocket use or heavy duty outdoors use. Frame lock mechanism is very sturdy so you don't cut your fingers off. Blade is super sharp and holds it's edge. Serrations add versatility to the knife. Speed Safe mechanism opens the knife easily but not so fast that you have to worry about losing a hand or some other appendage. Also a big selling point for me is that the pocket clip is reversable or removable and there is a lanyard hole so I don't lose it. Overall this knife is a brick that won't play side to side in the blade very sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best knives I've ever hiked/backpacked with. I love this knife for multiple reasons. First off, Kershaw is a fantastic brand of knife. I (being a small framed female) find myself fumbling over certain styles of knives while trying to get them open with one hand. This one has the easy open blade that is very easy for me to get off my belt and open with one hand. The clip is tight enough but not too tight and the knife itself is light enough to not pull at the waist of my pants. I know this is a very female-oriented review, but hey...I come by it honestly!,,Spend a little more and get a much better product that will last!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This knife will put a smile on your face- you can spend twice as much and get a knife half as good. This is a nice knife. There is a strange satisfaction you get when flipping this open that borderlines on giddy as a school girl (did I just say that?). The Kershaw Blur has it where it counts for a knife; the blade is very sharp and holds an edge well even after months of use. I do not have the serrated version so I cannot comment on that style's longevity of staying sharp. The Trac-Tec inserts in the handle resembles skateboard tape which works as advertised in preventing the knife from moving around in your hand. It is well balanced, comfortable while handling, and much lighter than a full tang knife. The pocket clip does a good job of keeping the knife in place. I did dock a star from the review however because I believe this knife would really benefit from a safety locking system as strange things tend to occur in packs while hiking. All in all, the knife is made of quality materials and has served me well as a hiking companion. For the money, it is an excellent buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Knife! I have had one of these for about 3 years. The blade holds an edge very well and the coating the blade is super durable and shows almost no wear. The spring assist is helpful for easily opening the knife with one hand and is just plain cool! The handle has very good grip even when it is wet. Kershaw customer service is also second to none. If there is ever a problem with the knife it can be sent and they will fix it for free and while it is there they will clean it, sharpen it and make it look new again. Get one!
