The Julbo Monterosa Sunglasses are a full coverage frame that can slip from mountain hikes into the urban landscape at the drop of a hat. Or more accurately at the removal of the side shields. The curved shape runs close to the face, with thick side arms that taper down to a thin point at the ends. Grippy inserts at the stem ends ensure a stable fit that won't pull your hair, whether you're barreling down the trail on a mountain bike or kickin' it with your pals downtown for lunch.

FEATURES of the Julbo Monterosa Sunglasses

  • Total Cover Shape: Maximum protection in extreme conditions against harsh sunlight
  • Removable Side Shields: Lateral protection against harsh sunlight
  • Curved Temples: For good hold on the face and head
  • Grip Tech: Soft comfort exclusive material on the temples that doesn't stick to hair, giving perfect hold and comfort
  • Cord Attachment: Allows attachment of a cord

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good, works great, but the fit could be a little better. These are the next best thing after buying snow goggles due to their full-eye coverage and they do what they are supposed to (block the sun's rays while providing good vision). The one thing I don't like is that the sides fit a little tightly against the head, and loosening them is not an option because the material they are made of is not at all "grippy." I prefer my Oakley sunglasses, which weigh less and don't need to be tight in order to stay on my face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glacier glasses that aren't so nerdy! I love my women's glacier glasses from Julbo. This french company makes some great technical glacier glasses but they usually didn't fit my small face. This is their first model for women and I totally love them for big mountains. It's fits well and has rubber sides that stick to your face so they won't fly off easily. The frame is a solid plastic that doesn't break easily even after I dropped them 30-40 ft. Study and gorgeous!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wore them in Iceland I wore these while hiking on snow (and dirt) and on a glacier in Iceland. They were a little tight at first, but were more comfortable as I continued to wear them. Lightweight and didn't make me look too silly...at least I don't think so. They are going to be my hiking sunglasses now...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are GREAT!!! I bought them after my last sunglasses started to slide off and they are wonderful. They stay on but are not to tight and I like that the side things are removable because when it's hot outside it's great to get some extra air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She loves em! Wife thinks the removable side shields are the neatest thing since sliced bread. Likes the fit and they don't move around. I told her Spectron 4 was dark, now she understands.
