Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool tool I love the fact that these are compact utensils. They don't fold but slide and lock in both the open and closed positions. In the closed position the utensils are small enough to fit in the smallest kettle. Plus when you get home the two pieces of the tool slide apart and ride out the dishwasher just fine. I've owned other eating utensils, but for the light trips these can't be beat. The only down side to these:they are a bit flexible under a lot of pressure they will bend a bit. But mine work great since I own a shovel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice but not essential Good idea, but not perfect. The shape of the spoon is pretty good for scraping the last bits of goodness from the bottom of the jetboil mug. The extra length is good since the jetboil mug is pretty deep and a regular spoon doesn't always cut it. The one problem is that food tends to get stuck at the place where the sliding action that lets these collapse to a smaller size happens. In the slider area, these have lots of little nooks and crannies that are hard to clean food out of. Not big problem, just a little annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most definitely. Good, lightweight utensil set. Here's why I dig it 1. The spoon and spatula are shaped especially for jetboil pot corners. 2. They match the color of the neoprene sleeve on the jetboil pot. 3. The spatual tucks neatly away inside the flux ring on the jetboil pot. 4. MJ = supreme coolness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastically Built Despite Seeming Otherwise My headline sounds kind of lamesky but I mean well. I do a mad amount of hiking and camping.... I nearly always carry along MRE's--I'm really into a minimalistic sport---. These utensils are real official when it comes to what I need it for. I was a little thrown off by the material (they look more heavy duty in the pic then when I received them).... But I'll tell you what: I'll bet money now that, after hammering on them a bit, they last like a champ. I really like this set, I recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very long when extended however, feels kinda flimsy... I got these utensils because they are long enough for a Jetboil cup and that will come in handy when scraping the bottom for that last tasty morsel of food however they feel cheap and flimsy. I hesitate keeping them loose in a pack for fear of shattering. On the plus side, all three utensils are incredibly light weight I guess the plastic is good for something.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small, light, but they won't scratch your JetBoil Gear. They fold up nice and small, but that means overall they're pretty small. They get the job done, and they fit nicely inside a JetBoil cup or pot. They seem a little flimsy too, but they've held up so far. They work well when you're using them while traveling and eating light, but I wouldn't use them on the grill at home with the steaks and chicken breasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This set is exactly what you need, nothing more or less This is a great set for the price. Actually turned out to be more sturdy than I anticipated. Don't worry about food getting caught up in the sliding mechanisms. Geniuses will quickly discover that the two ends fully separate.. making them easy to clean. Incredibly sturdy for plastic. I mean.. you could probably spear a squirrel with the fork if need be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light and somewhat compact These are good to have on long hiking adventures because they are so light and you have the ability to shrink their size for storage while expanding them to dig down into the larger pots. I'd recommend getting a pair for your next adventure as they seem well built and should last a long time.
