The Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner System is a group cook stove for meal time at base camp. Included with the dual burners is a 10" fry pan, a 5L FluxPot with lid, and a carrying case to keep them all together while traveling. When you start setting up camp, all you really need to do is open the burners like a book, attach a propane bottle (not included with purchase), then set your pot and pan on top and get to the cooking. This can quickly get 1 liter of water to boil, in 3 minutes, 15 seconds to be exact. Plus, if you need some additional water on the side, you can always purchase the Luna Satellite Burner separately and attach it to the Genesis. Genesis or genius? You figure it out.

Feature of the Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner System

  • 10" ceramic coated fry pan for eco-friendly non-stick performance
  • System carrying bag with pocket for regulator fuel connection
  • Compact folding 2-burner stove
  • Jetboil engineered value for advanced simmer control
  • JetlinkTM for expanded cooking systems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great combo I've seen issues all over about the regulator issue. Before buying here I spoke with the manufacturer who said the supplier was changed. They sent me a regulator in the event this one was a bad one. I went ahead and ordered. Typical Moosejaw fast ship and careful packaging. The system works great! Now I have a spare regulator if the first one ever fails. I ordered the Satellite burner too. Everything he eats up fast and easily controlled. Cookware has even heat distribution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Over priced for what you get, but still good Typical jet boil quality. Nice burners. With out question it is over priced for what you get. Poor wind screen. Concerns that there may be gas leaks with time at the "pivot" points. The direction of the add on burner port should face backwards not forwards of the unit. You should definitely put a pot holder or pad on the bottom of the pot before lifting the burner unit into the pot. If not, get ready for the unit to damage the bottom of the pot from bouncing around on the trail. If you buy one, inspect closely as it may already be damaged. I had to send the original purchase back because of this along with it having cracked pot lid. Replacement item was OK.

What Fuel type or types do I use?

Asked by: Dicky
Hiya, thanks for your question! There are various brands of canister fuel, which is a mix of butane and propane or isobutane and propane. This type of fuel isn't a good option for cold temperatures and long trips but it is easy to use because it is already pressurized and ready to go. There is also liquid fuel, like white gas, kerosene, diesel or car gas. This type is trickier to use because you have to fill the canister and pressurize it yourself and also prime the stove before you use it. Both types are readily available at Moosejaw retail stores, other outdoor retailers or third party online retailers. I would check the instructions included with the stove and use whatever fuel the manufacturer recommends. Jetboil has its own mixture called Jetpower. Hope this helps!

Can the regulator be removed and the stove connected to an RV propane quick connect (already regulated) with the optional Jet Boil hose?

Asked by: Suza
Hiya Suza, thanks for your question! Unfortunately, this stove cannot be connected to a RV propane tank. It is designed for outdoor use only. Hope this helps!
