Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to for cool weather These are my go-tos for biking in cool weather. Warm, but not too warm. They work well in our NW liquid sunshine (rain and drizzle) and a broad range of temps. from mid-40's to upper 60's. I like the pad, the materials and the sizing. And I also like the fact they are not (totally) synthetic. I've washed them several times, they don't retain odors, dry in a reasonable amount of time and are ready to go. BTW, I have Ibex bike shorts and wool jersey. Same comments as above, I like 'em all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best "El Fito" yet! This is my third pair of "El Fito" knickers (I guess they don't call them that anymore) and it's the best one yet! I consider them my most used piece of cycling gear and eventually just wore out the first two pairs. This version is lighter, stretchier, and has a better chamois, waistband, and leg grippers than the old ones. It might not be as warm on it's own, though. They are always my choice for variable conditions that might get chilly. I find wool is very forgiving for times when you might find yourself under or over-dressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3/4 knickers for 3/4 of the year. My 3/4 knickers are my go to pants for my mountain biking and cool weather cycling. They fit deliciously, pad where I need it and keep me just toasty enough that I am not trying to get my knees loosened up when I start out. A perfect shoulder season compliment to my Ibex shorts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit! Love the way Ibex cuts their cloth. This is the perfect Large. Great fitting, the cloth weight makes it a 4-season piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid in the saddle I've been using these knickers for a ~26 mile daily commute in rainy, cold weather. The weight has been perfect for temps between 28 and 45 degrees, and the wool performs beautifully in the rain. I suspect they'll be equally comfortable in warmer temps as well. On the bike, these are fantastic. The design uses wool on the outside thigh and covering the knee (perfect), but a stretchier lycra blend on the inside and back. The padding is really comfortable (again, on the saddle). Bonus points for the cross band that keeps the thigh area nice and tight. Sizing is an issue for me. Based on reviews, I ordered a large (I'm 6', 170 lbs 31" waist). They fit well through the legs, but unfortunately, I need to roll the waist over to get them to stay up and in place on my hips. Off the bike, the padding sags quite a bit. I'd recommend either a tighter waist or a slightly lower cut, but that's just for my fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy These knickers are just incredibly comfortable. My knees appreciate the coverage knickers provide. Highly recommended!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice knickers but not comfortable around the knees I own several pair of the old El Fito 3/4 Knickers which I love but they are showing their age. I had high hopes for these because of my experience with the El Fitos but for me they just don't compare well. On the Plus side: The new chamois is better than any of the chamois in my old El Fitos. On the minus side: the fabric feels lighter and I don't think it is quite as warm. The heavy fabric seems to extend a bit further down the legs than on the old El Fito. That change in the design around the knee was probably intended to keep the knees a bit warmer but I suspect it is also why the calf portion of the knickers tends to ride up my leg and bunch up behind the knee. It chafes the skin there. There's a lot to like about these knickers, and I really like the 3/4 length but in my case they just don't work well enough to keep. If the lower leg design worked better I'd give them 4 stars, not 5, because of the lighter fabric and I definitely would have kept them.
