The curved handle is comfortable to hold, so get a grip and get to work.

FEATURES of the Hults Bruk Aneby Hatchet

  • As part of the hand grinding production process, the steel is struck multiple times thereby increasing its density and resulting in more durability of the axe
  • The head is constructed in such a way that there is a tempered zone designed to hold a very sharp edge even after many sharpenings
  • The curved hickory handle is treated with linseed oil
  • Each axe comes with a traditional leather protective sheath that is embellished with some unique Swedish decorative elements
  • The axe is shipped in its own storage box and comes with a detailed users manual

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More time I ordered this axe nearly a month ago for a 10 day wilderness hike in South Mississippi. My first observation is the blade was very sharp and stayed sharp for the duration of the trip. I used the axe for a myriad of small chopping jobs which it performed flawlessly. On a bit larger chopping jobs I was a slight bit let down as to the effort needed to chop small trees. In all fairness I would like to use this axe on another trip to get a little more use out of it for a better review. Over all very good product.

Are we sure this is a "stainless" steel?

Asked by: Papa B
Hi there Papa B, The head on this hatchet is made from solid Swedish steel, which is known to have less impurities and a higher carbon content that traditional stainless steel. I have my web content team working on a fix for the product specs - sorry for the confusion!
