Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Waterproof Boots Ever and So Cute! I am a very active senior citizen living in the state of Maine with unpredictable and sometimes severe weather conditions. I wear these waterproof boots almost every day in the winter for a variety of activities: walking, trail jogging, hiking, snow shoveling, whatever! I find these boots have superior traction. I enjoy the usual Hoka cushioning , and also appreciate the arch support and ankle stabilizing hook'n'eye closure. I purchased a size up because I wear thick wool socks underneath. I should also add that I have always had problem feet, i.e., flat feet and bunions, and Hoka is the one brand that allows me to be as active as I want, right out of the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from work fine for trail hiking Brought this pair to support my knees Quality: Top part quality were not great, missing stitching, one side stitch finished was not same as another side. Uncut thread, not sure this pair will last how long...(compared another brand XXX hiking boots I used for 7 years now, XXX quality is way much better and good for winter). Design: colors are too much, I bought black color, changed black shoe lace right away, wore few hours for trail hiking got dirty didn't see colors. Light weight and easy to grip or walk on rock. The pair were not durable to kick rocks or steps. Don't think I could use them for snow shoeing... $ would be reasonable price for the quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable Trail Boots I loved my very cushioning Hoka One One running shoes and felt grateful to received my new boots before a 8 days camping trip. I walked and stood almost all day and my new boots did not tired me out at all. There's no hot spot or any issue to break into the boots. I was very satisfy about their waterproof ability since my friend accidentally poured a bucket of water on my boots. I did not went for hiking so I could not share how the boots perform during long hike. I expected the color would be closer to red than purple. but that's not a big issue for me. The boots covered with dust anyway. I already ordered the black pair for my son and the flame design was a big hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect trail shoe I've use the Tor for hiking, rock scrambling and general camp wear. They are light, comfortable, supportive and have incredible traction. I haven't seen much wear on the outsoles yet, although I don't expect the outsoles to last forever. However, I have worn these in deep mud, sandstone (both wet and dry), on roots and trails. This outsold provide amazing traction, especially on wet surfaces. These boots can be worn all day, and are incredibly comfortable. I liked these so much I bought a second pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit immediately, break-in time not needed I first used mine out locally trail hiking. This past weekend I was able to give them a true test on the appalachian trail at Indian Grave Gap ( north GA, steep and technical). That day it was rainy, terrain was slippery and muddy. I had complete confidence with each step in these boots. I did not lose my footing. My hiking partner did slip twice on wet rocks or roots, he was not wearing hoka boots. My feet stayed dry. They are light weight and felt comfortable on ascent and descent. Aggressive tread needed hosing off after that great hike. So happy I got these boots. I have owned 4 pairs of running hoka one one shoes and really liked the comfort, so I splurged on the boots for added ankle support plus comfort and it was worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe I have a variety of foot problems, have to wear a rocker sole, this could be improved in this shoe, for my needs. Very comfortable, sole is very thick and padded well. I can wear it on my job as a plant waterer in large plant nursery. I am on my feet in sun for 7.5 hours a day, this shoe is very comfortable, I love it, really. I cannot run, but do not slip in this shoe. Perhaps I misunderstood the rocker sole part, but I got used to this shoe quickly. It does not protect against nerve pain in toes and ball of foot, because it bends, probably this is necessary for the runners. I paid retail for this shoe, and it was worth every penny!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the shoe but too narrow for my fat foot! This shoe is so comfortable! Unfortunately my right foot is super wide and the widest part of the shoe just wan't wide enough for my foot no matter what size I tried. Instead, I ended up with the Hoka mid, which may not support as much backpack weight but is insanely comfortable and will hopefully hold up for most of my hiking adventures, though I have yet to try them out. I got the green thinking they would be a bit more toned down but actually found the red to be a more appealing and subdued color. Fit seems true to size and I would have absolutely kept these boots if my fat foot wasn't a problem!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blew Away All My Expectations! I went on a four day solo backpack (I'm a girl) to climb four 14,000 ft mountains and one 13,000 ft mountain in Colorado. I have had six knee surgeries and two hip surgeries. My Hoka Trail Runners have helped me keep walking and trail hiking but the sole was not grippy so not good for hiking mountains. I wore the boots around the house for two days and decided to chance taking them as my only boot as I was trying to be ultralight. I was fooled by the conditions, encountering snowfields and much more rock scrambling than I expected. I had about 8-10 stream crossings/day with some being sizable. I was confident in my experience but was wondering if I had made a grave mistake not bringing my mountaineering boots which would limit my ability to climb the mountains I had planned. These boots rocked the house! They were not durable enough to kick steps in hard snow but great for soft snow. They were tremendously grippy on rock for scrambling. I would suggest the flare on the sole be lower profile so edging on rock is more accurate. The flare took some mental getting used to. The Event fabric liner kept my feet dry even when the outside of the boot was damp from snow or stream crossings. They dried very fast in the sun. These boots are amazing for anyone who is having trouble playing outdoors due to joint issues. My feet would ache after carrying a 30lb pack for 6 miles but my knees and hip did great, for the first time in several years. Thank you so much for these great boots! You have made it possible for me to play in the mountains again! :)
