Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hiking pants I like these. The big leg pocket is great for a map on the hike and the rest of the pockets are equally useful. I would lie if I said these pants make me look like a million dollars but they are the kind of pants you spend seven days straight wearing while backpacking and still feeling happy in. I am European born and bread so I checked Fjallraven size chart and ordered EU sizing which fits me as expected. I would not necessarily agree with the conversion of the sizes but I am a 38 and I guess wear 6 US so I would order the size you usually wear. They come without hem so you can alter them as needed. Even the tallest of you ladies will probably find them long enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking, solid, comfortable and versatile ( good for both work and play) I was looking for hiking pants that were a little more substantial than the ripstop nylon variety.,,These fit the bill. They hold up well to abrasive surfaces like rocks and twigs. There is no swishing sound while you walk. You can increase waterproofing with wax. Instructions come with the pants.,,One of the coolest things is how easy these pants are to modify to your correct fit. I always need to take in my pants several inches at the waist. With these pants all you need to do is sew along the back center seam. For those of you who need more room in waist - there is extra fabric provided on the back center seam.,,,,The pants come unhemmed which is great. I have a 34 in inseam and I hemmed up 3+ inches. ,,The pockets are well placed, snaps are sturdy. They look good enough to wear to work.,,,,The only downside for me is that they were tight on my legs about a hands length above the knee. I have cyclist thighs. I was able to let the seams out a bit in that area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pants I Own I bought these pants about two months ago after hearing how great Fjallraven clothing is. I LOVE them. I'm 5'10" with a 34" inseam and a 28" waist. It is really hard to find pants that fit right. These fit perfect! I bought the 4's and they are officially my favorite pants. The pockets are a little tight, but the one on the right thigh is perfect for sliding my phone in. The pants fit perfect without hemming so I didn't have to worry about that either. (FYI if you're like me, also check out Prana tall pants. They also fit really well) ENJOY!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, wearable pants I really, really like these pants. First, as a woman who's 6' tall, it's hard to find pants that are long enough, and with the raw hem, you can customize the inseam to whatever length you want. The cloth is thinner than canvas (think Carhartts) but much thicker than nylon, which I like. These are pants to do outdoor work in for days at a time. The fabric really is wind-resistant, and I've spent days in these pants in 30-50F weather (with or without long underwear bottoms), and found that just the ability to cut the wind was a real bonus. That said, they're also water resistant but not waterproof, and highly breathable. The belt loops are wide, well-spaced and well-constructed, and the pockets are deep and also well-placed for ease of access and practicality. You can fit a small notebook or folded map in the thigh pocket without having to cram it in. I normally wear a size 6 or 8 in outdoor clothing, and the size 40 was loose but comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality, true to size Based on the other review I ordered 2 sizes up and got a 12 (im normally between an 8 or a 10). I just recieved the pants, and I am swimming in them. I'll return them for an 8.,,,,The fabric is the same great G1000 fabric used in all the fjall raven clothes. I have one of their jackets, and its indestructable.,,,,I love the color (dark gray), and the super long inseam. They are straightleg pants, so I think will look good off the trail as well. Looking forward to getting a smaller size!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very thin material for the price, and approximately 2 sizes too small. These look very tough in the ads, but I ordered them expecting they'd withstand some pretty active rock climbing. The fabric was simply thin cotton that would rip on the first sharp rock. Very expensive for the quality. Also, the size conversion says to subtract 28 from the size, in my case being a 38 or a size 10. Now I know us Americans eat too much and are probably fatter than the rest of the world but, I couldn't even get these up!! Quality just isn't there....sorry charlie!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these pants I was on the fence about buying these because I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much for a pair of pants, but these are just what I was looking for. Love all the pockets, and the fit is great on me. One drawback was that I had to hem them since I am on the shorter side, but that way I was able to make them the exact length I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for trail work Durable pants that fit nicely, great for working on trails, protect my legs while not making me all gross and sweaty. Also... So many pockets! Love these pants and everything about them, ended up buying 2 pairs
