Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would love to like this I purchased this jacket exactly one year ago and am so disappointed. After reading the reviews and understanding that it wouldn't be an expedition type of jacket I was sad to have spent my money on this. It has to be the coldest jacket I have ever owned! I have tried layering and even went and purchased the fjallraven Greenland wax, which I understood helped to protect it from wind, but it hasn't helped and my jacket is resigned to the closet. I love it's look. For a tall female, I figured it was stylish and would be somewhat warm. Warm it is not. In hindsight I would have been better looking at patagonia or arcteryx. If you have cool winters, then this may be for you. Anything else, forget it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most excellent product! Can't speak to the longevity of this product since I just received it yesterday, but some initial thoughts:,,,,Pros:,,-The cut of the jacket is excellent. I am 6'0, 185, and the Large fits perfectly.,,-Most comfortable and warm. I went with the lofted over the unlofted version, and I am happy that I did ,,-This might not matter to you, but it does to me: The jacket doesn't bunch up while you're driving. I can't stand when jackets puff up in the abdomen while sitting, and it looks like you are harboring Quatto somewhere under there.,,-I work with a Dane, and he showed me some Scandinavian love when he saw me wearing it.,,,,Cons:,,-I wear a messenger bad, and it hangs up on the large(ish) hood when I go to take it off. I will have to get used to this.,,-The zipper has a tendency to hang up on the bottom of the jacket when unzipping it. Hopefully this fixes itself.,,-The hood is quite large, covering my eyes when up,,,,Overall, this is a most excellent jacket. You should buy one. ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat I have owned to date! Let me start by saying these coats run very large, I normally would wear a Medium in American clothing and purchased this in an XS to get the perfect trim fit I was looking for, it gave me just enough to wear I can move around comfortably and still look nice and not baggy, the material is very durable dosent fray easy and wind does not get through it, the fur hood keep wind from flowing into your hood when you have it up and make a huge difference compared to hoods without fur. All in all I would buy this jacket again if it were stolen tomorrow

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and comfy I didn't necessarily buy it to trek across the Swiss Alps - it's perfect for Oklahoma winter. It fits so much better than my north face jacket(s) and although it isn't rated as a "warm" jacket I find it more than sufficient for my needs. I'm 6' tall 175lbs and the medium is a great fit. If you plan to wear thick layers under it you my try a size up, otherwise it's pretty true to size. Sleeves are long-ish and perfect for skiing/snowboarding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a fantastic jacket I purchased this a few months ago and it has served me well this winter. It's the perfect weight with just the right amount of insulation without being bulky. Perfectly comfortable in windy and snowy conditions with temps ranging from 35 degrees f down to 5f. I layer with a light fleece for anything below 20. The cut of the jacket is excellent. The sleeves are sized long so that they do not ride up when I lift my arms. The G-1000 fabric is very flexible and comfortable to move in. Jacket details are all top notch with nice leather zipper pulls and quality snaps. The hood is not oversized like many jackets and fits my head with beanie hat snugly. When fully zipped up, the hood offers excellent visibility. When looking left and right, the hood moves with your head. The fit is a slim cut, but has room in the right places and never feels constricting. I am 6' tall and 175 pounds and bought the medium size jacket. I have enough room for a thick fleece and base layer, or base layer and a primaloft down jacket underneath. I look forward to many seasons with this jacket.

Hello - is this good for skiing and is the hood detachable?

Asked by: Akumar1289
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The hood on the Fjallraven Singi Loft Jacket is not detachable, but the faux arctic fur trim is. This is a Great jacket for skiing! It's windproof, water resistant, breathable, offers a ton of mobility and has several ventilation zippers.

Hello, what is the temperature rating of this jacket?

Asked by: Henry10
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, Fjallraven does not temperature rate their garments. Altho, the Singi is considered a durable shell, it will get the job down if you layer correctly underneath. The fur trim lined hood will protect you from the wind and snow. Without layering, I would consider this more a late Fall / early Spring piece. Hope this helps!

* RAW INSEAM vs FIXED INSEAM

RAW INSEAM: If it says in the Product Description that the pants have a Raw Inseam Length of 34", it means those particular pants do not automatically come hemmed, and that the full inseam length is 34" prior to that being done. Pants with a Raw Inseam Length are great because you can have them hemmed to fit you perfectly, but that is your responsibility to have done.

FIXED INSEAM: If the Product Description says that these pants have a Fixed Inseam Length of 34", it means that these pants already come hemmed. So if you're lazy, like me, you won't have to do anything with these when you get them. Except put them on, of course.
