Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing pant! I’ve worn a lots of pants over the years and I believe I’ve found the one pant that will hold up to the Arizona desert! They are extremely durable and comfortable. They move with you and absolutely no binding what so ever. Plenty of pockets to add! The fit was spot on and that usually is a worry for most people that purchase clothing online. I’m a 33-34 in jeans and I ordered size 50 and I was very pleased. I can honestly say I will be sticking to fjallraven from here on out! Thanks for taking the time to read this review! Be safe out there and get out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legit pants Haven’t got the chance to try these outdoors yet but they seem to be well made and the fit is nice. Between these and my pranas I won’t need another pair of pants. Does come in raw length, I wear 34 length pants and had to hem the regular length a good bit

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Have your tailor ready! Nice pants, this is the second pair I've purchased BUT, the inseam is NOT 32" as advertised! It's an unfinished 37 inches! So was the first pair I bought which I took to my local tailor to have hemmed but the second pair, no, not paying for tailoring again! I'll be returning them. Hey Moosejaw!, update your product specs info will ya?!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If I only had one pair of pants... I'd strongly consider these. I've had FILSON, Bean, MK, RailRiders, 511, etc. these are as good or better. Sturdy and well constructed. Get some!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trouder It fits as I expected. It costs money, but worth it. The quality of the product is high. The material of the trouser for first touch it seems to be rough, but if put on it is so comfortable. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY TOP SHELF PANTS Here's the facts..I am 6' 9" tall and weigh 245 lbs. I live in Alaska. I was tired of wearing Carharrts that were too short and HEAVY when they got wet while trekking in the brush. These Barents Pro Trousers are not only 40" long but they are LIGHT also. Pockets galore. ( except on rear). You can wax these for extra water protection. The knees, rear, and crotch areas all have another layer of material as these are high wear areas. The knees can accept knee pad inserts. The G1000 fabric is extremely durable for how light it is. These pants also just look very cool. There are plenty of videos on the net to see for yourself! Oh, lets not forget FREE TWO DAY SHIPPING to Alaska. Thank you Moosejaw!!

Is there any reason not to order a long size if the regular is out, seeing as these have a "raw" cut? Is the long cut any differently (like height of crotch or knees), or does the fabric just go a couple more centimeters down to give you more to hem?

Asked by: GareBear
Hiya GareBear, thanks for your question! The knees are pre-shaped so a long length pant wouldn't fit correctly on a regular height person. Sorry about that!

How well would these endure frequent brushes with thorns, burrs, and other abrasive undergrowth?

Asked by: Be Nimble
Thanks for the question! The Barents Pro Trousers were designed specifically for trekking in the forest. With the extremely durable G-1000 material, you should not expect to even notice any signs of abrasion - even in those prickly situations you are describing. I have a customer who wore them for 8-12 days while trekking in canyons & thick brush and his pants showed almost no wear. I hope this gives you a better idea of the durability!

What's the difference between the barents pro and vidda pro?

Asked by: Northern Cowboy
There are two main differences between the Barents Pro and the Vidda Pro. First, the Barents Pro sits low on the waist, while the Vidda pro sits mid-waist. The second difference is the Vidda have an elastic adjustment at the bottom of the legs so that you can adjust them, whereas the Barents do not. Other than that, they are very similar in style, quality, and materials used.

What is the difference between Keb Gaiter trousers and Barents Pro?

Asked by: imoose
Hey there imoose, Great question! There are several differences between the two. First, the Keb Gaiter Trousers have a zip off function that allows the lower legs to be used as gaiters (they also have lace hooks and bungee fasteners on the upper calf). The Barents are made with the same G-1000 fabric as the Keb, but do not have the gaiter function/accessories. Both are regular fit, and tapered at the hem. Hope this helps!

Will a 1 1/2" wide belt fit through the belt loops?

Asked by: dougpeterson2
Thanks for the question! I measured the belt loop myself and it is exactly 1.5 inches. You should be able to get your belt in there, but may be a little tight.

* RAW INSEAM: If it says in the Product Description that the pants have a Raw Inseam, it means those particular pants do not automatically come hemmed, and that the full inseam length can be found in the info above. Pants with a Raw Inseam Length are great because you can have them hemmed to fit you perfectly, but that is your responsibility to have done.

* FIXED INSEAM: If the Product Description says that these pants have a Fixed Inseam, or does NOT clearly state it has a Raw Inseam, it means that these pants already come hemmed.

WAIST: Measure around the natural part of the waist, often the narrowest part of the waist just above the belly button.

SEAT: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest point of the hips and seat.

INSEAM: Measure from the crotch to where your pant leg typically falls, often near the ankle bone. Please note that Fjallraven Raw Inseam pants do NOT come hemmed so will have a longer inseam.
