The Exped Air Seat is an inflatable seat for camp, travel, and avoiding the "bleacher butt". If you don't know what that is then you've probably never been to a high school sporting event. Packed down into its packsack and it's only 5.5"x3.1", small enough to jam into a backpack or jacket pocket. Carry it around from place to place, filling it with air whenever you need a comfy place to sit. The ground can be a cold, hard place, but now you don't have to sit on it.

FEATURES of the Exped Air Seat

  • Stable and strong baffle construction
  • FlatValves for inflation and deflation
  • Two breaths inflate Air Seat fully
  • Lightweight, durable, stable, and compact with baffled air tubes
  • Separate inflation and deflation flat valves
  • One-way flap in the inflation valve prevents air loss during inflation
  • Run webbing through the eyelets to fix AirSeat to a canoe seat or other objects

What is the R-value of insulation?

Asked by: steve
Thanks for the question! After some super sleuthing, it turns out the Air Seats actually do not have an R-Value. They are so small they cannot be tested on the machines that give a rating. I spoke with Exped, and they put the mat somewhere around 1-1.3. Other Airmat Sleeping Pads with similar construction rate about 1.5-1.9. Hope this helps a little!
