Product Description Item No.   10276021

The Eagles Nest Ember 2 UnderQuilt is a synthetic sleeping bag for the underside of your hammock. Forget trying to climb into a sleeping bag and then a hammock, or a hammock and then a sleeping bag. Attach this blanket to the hammock, and clamber inside your hammock per usual. When paired with a top quilt, this will toast you up like a little coccoon on 40°F to 50°F nights. When you wake you'll be a beautiful, well rested butterfly. I mean human.

FEATURES of the Eagles Nest Ember 2 UnderQuilt

  • The polyester-filled Ember 2 surrounds the sides and bottom of your hammock with a hammock specific cut, protecting you from winter's nastiness
  • An adjustable shock cord at each end speed up setup, meaning less time freezing and more time enojying nestled, toasty goodness

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality I bought this in hopes of being able to camp in the spring and fall comfortably without my back getting cold. I have yet to try it out but the down feels in good shape and the stitching is excellent. I will write back after I use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does its job well This has been a great addition to my fall camping gear. I have used it on 3 camping trips in the last two months and I like it a lot. Probably my favorite thing about it is that I don't feel the breeze coming through the hamock with the under quilt attached. Its fairly compact and simple to attach. This under quilt combined with my 25 degree sleeping bag has kept me comfortably warm on a few wet cold nights in the upper 30s and a few frosty mornings as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight, and compact Great product! I pack it in a compression bag with my blanket. I've used it to around 50°F and stayed nice and toasty. Only complaint is I wish it was a bit more affordable, and all other under quilts also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm but restricting I am very tall so It is a must for me to lie at an angle, the fit of the ember doesn't allow for this as much. still need to experiment with some things so we will see if it works out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economic Quilt I have used this quilt on one trip thus far and it performed well. I used a 20 degree bag and wore extra clothes and with temperatures cold enough to freeze the water in my water bottle, I had a good nights sleep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm without roasting me The Ember 2 from Eno is well made, synthetic and fits their doublenest hammock quite well. The setup was easy and the fit is adjustable so you can be sure to get it right. It created a definite difference in warmth without being too warm. I will make use of it for Spring, Summer and Fall camping for sure!

Is this going to constrict me in my 11'x5' hammock? I'm also 6'2"

Asked by: Camomano
Thanks for the question! You should not feel anymore constricted than you would using your hammock solely. I would describe adding the Ember 2 UnderQuilt as having a "cocoon effect". I hope this helps a little!

How well does it pack? The weight seems fine but space is always an issue.

Asked by: dgbrown
Hiya dgbrown, thanks for your question! This item can pack down a 15 inch long by 8 inch in diameter cylinder. Hope this helps!
