Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great Eagle Creek bag I have several EC bags. I picked this bag over competitors because of my satisfaction with EC bags and service. I've used this bag on one 7 day trip since getting it and it holds up to my high regard for EC bags. It has a big main compartment and good exterior pockets for easy access to items. it also stands upright easily when fully loaded without risk of falling which a lot of bags cannot do. The "wings" are a great design to help protect the zippers. I would like to have had a different type fastex buckle on the sinch straps because the ones on the bag are difficult to align. Also a few more mesh inner pockets would have been good but not necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Price is down because quality is down. My wife purchased one of these last year. Superb. We tend to trash luggage as its needs to put up with "casual" baggage handlers, cobblestone streets and overpacking. My wife's looks like it would put up with stress quite well. This year the price was "reduced", so I recently bought one. This is the same bag in name only. The bag has gone from clearly overbuilt to a competitive build. Versus my wife's bag, gussets are a fraction in size, same with straps, wheels are different (hopefully not weaker), I believe the back side material is thinner -- at least it feels flimsier. All material has lost some stiffness. Looks like the accountants won the day. Will see how it lasts but I would not put too much faith in year or more reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for traveling I work with the Military and I travel a lot. I travel to Navy aircraft carriers, the middle east and other various places. I needed a bag that I could pack lightly or pack completely fulI yet still be able to use it in tight places without it being too bulky and hard to travel with. I went through many suitcases and every one failed to deliver what I needed. My co-workers have purchased these bags and they absolutely love them. I also use this bag as a bag to carry my tools needed for my job. Packed with about 75 lbs of tools and gear, this bag has held up to being thrown, dropped and other abuse. I highly recommend this bag to people who need a heavy duty bag that will withstand a lot of punishment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dragged it around the world, no problem! I used this bag for my month long study abroad trip to New Zealand and Fiji. I took this bag over unpaved hills, through terminals, mud soaked villages and on beaches- this bag held up quite nicely. You can use all the pockets for virtually anything to your hearts content. I used a mix of the packet system from Eagle Creek and some bags that I already had and it worked out great. The only word of caution that I would offer is that the bag CANNOT be over packed. It forces you to think smartly about what you bring with and what you bring back. I loved the bag for all the grab handles and the heavy duty miles I put on it. The storage of the bag is awesome too, as it fit underneath all of the beds at most of the accomodations we stayed at (except in places were there were not under-the-bed-storage). I love that if I got it dirty, I only had to swipe at it with a baby wipe or wet towel to clean up and it didn't smell despite all of the dirty laundry I had when coming back. Being a Mary-Poppins Kinda Packer, this bag was perfect. There was more than enough room in the bag, just pack smart. The zippers were super sturdy, however I did have my moments when I thought that they might not hold up (purely for the fact that I had shoved so much stuff in there) but it held up through multiple trips, bus rides, walks, and international handeling. The exterior compression straps were aweomse, except that this product doesn't come with extenders if you need them (& if you're in New Zealand and you buy 3 different types of extenders, they won't fit- I tried in 4 different cities). I think the greatest thing about the bag is its versatility and its ability to adapt to a range of situations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrific! Only one small issue! I really love these bags!! They're super light weight, spacious and handle very well. The pull-back design of the top for the main compartment is problematic if there is anything in the smaller compartments in the top cover as the zippers and end of seams stop before it folds cleanly over itself. I genearlly have to empty it or lean it against stomething as to not have it strain against the rest of the material. Similarly, the top compartments must remain as thinly packed as possible in order to keep the zippers in alignment to close easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great light bag Very nice bag , I was in need of a larger bag . For week vacations or longer business trips. Will half fold sport coats , shoes holds a lot of stuff. I like the laundry shoot pocket. Very good zippers, extendable handle & wheels seem sturdy Interior straps could have bigger tabs . Would have liked a sewn in window on bag for ID tag . Light weight and strong , kind of an arched flat back , goes up stairs pretty well . Exterior side reinforcement & exterior cross buckles & straps work well . I need to get some of your interior pouches etc. Overall I'm very impressed with this bag , lightweight too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love this bag Since TSA requires one to pack toiletries in checked baggage, I now require a 32" bag to hold my toiletries, as well as clothing, shoes, etc. Since this bag is 32" long, it is important that it is light weight. I packed it full for a trip and the total weight was 34 pounds, well below the weight limit for Delta airlines. I have another traditional hard-sided bag that is about this size, and it weighs just over 50 pounds when packed full. So I love this bag. I'm 65 years old, and found it easy to lift this totally-full bag in and out of the car, and off the baggage claim ramp. The multiple handles are great! It rolls great. I love using the Pack-It system for this bag. I stayed 4 nights at my sister's, and she only had 2 drawers cleared out. No problem. I just kept everything in the packs. Also, I then stayed 2 nights at my brother's. Didn't need to totally unpack. So easy to find things. I'm looking forward to my upcoming trip to Europe, where I may be required to stuff this empty bag into tight spaces available for my tour group, and where we will be traveling constantly, so I won't need to totally unpack for a 1-or-2-night stay. Anyway, I cannot recommend this bag highly enough, even if you're just a regular traveler, not necessarily a roughing-it adventurer, though I'm sure it would work for this.
