Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite For me personally, it's too small for overnighters, I'm a comfort hiker and I carry a lot of gear. (I use the 45+10 of the same line for overnighters and multi dash trips) This one I first got for winter day hikes but now I use it year round: The suspension is incredible, and because I broke my back years ago, that is the most important feature to me. Fully loaded and properly adjusted, it feels weightless, stays close to me, moves with me, it feels like its part of me. In it I carry a 2 L hydration bladder, food for the day, emergency supplies, extra layers, socks, hat, gloves, map, compass, sunblock, phone, keys, rain cover, backpacking chair, you name it + the kitchen sink and there's room to spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The absolute bestest of the best, bar none I will preface this by disclosing that I am a total gear freak: I have to be, since several injuries and old age creeping up is doing a number on my poor joints. The ACT Lite is perfect as it is, please don’t ever change it. The suspension is why I keep going back to this one, even just for day hikes. Once the harness, belt and shoulder straps are properly adjusted, the pack feels completely weightless, snug « just right », moves with me, not against me, the weight is distributed evenly across the back and hips, the shoulders take nothing. The sleeping bag compartment can be unzipped inside, turning the pack into a one big bag as opposed to a bottom and a top level. This is particularly helpful when I choose to carry my hiking chair (Crazy Creek: 1.5 lbs, it fits inside easily) . I also carry a 2 liter hydration bladder, rain layers, a down vest, hat, gloves, first aid kit, hygiene kit, food for the day, extra socks, Buff, flashlight, compass, map and phone and I added the Deuter rain cover as well as a tactical pouch that I clip onto the belt. I can’t say enough good things about this pack, it has happily replaced my ACT Trail 28 SL because... well, I’m a comfort hiker, lol. I wouldn’t be able to use it for an overnighter but for that, I use my ACT Lite 45+10 because why mess with a good thing? Best pack ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backpacking/Camping I needed something for multi-day wilderness hikes, and this thing really gets the job done. I also want to mention that i have the orange pack and I LOVE the color, because it's not just pink, purple, or teal. next, i love the number of straps and pockets on this thing, because it helps me organize my stuff into more accessible places when i'm hiking. i do wish that it had 2 hip pockets instead of just one, though. but the water bottle pockets and the mesh pocket on the front of the pack are awesome. i also use the side compression straps to hang hats, wet socks, etc., and i attach my poles to the stretchy toggles. i have also managed to rig my z-rest to the side. i also love the +10 feature on top. i try not to use it when i initially pack for a hike, but when things get disorganized on-trail, it helps to have that room, especially when oyu have to carry a bear barrel. also, the bottom zip is great. you can make a separate pocket for your bag or clothes, or you can make it a part of the full pack and have bottom access to your gear. i've used this pack for car camping for that reason. finally, i want to mention that even if i fill this to about 40 pounds, the heaviest it ever feels is around 30. once you have it fitted correctly, the hip belt and shoulder straps are soooo comfy. i had a better time hiking in it than when i've used more lower-profile packs. great backpack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for over night camps! Bought this pack for over night trips into the wilderness and it's great. I am 5 foot tall so it was a blessing to find a pack I could adjust to fit my frame and comfort. Fit the whole campsite into it plus food and now my husband is wondering where I nights!

- + Size Guide

Deuter Women's Packs

Deuter technical and backpacking packs are offered in One Size for each volume, and feature an adjustable torso range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of a pack, and follow the steps below to determine your torso size.

Deuter hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
