The Canada Goose Men's Snow Mantra Jacket has been called many things, but the one Canada Goose is especially proud of is "warmest coat on earth". I would, too, it's like being known for the "best pizza on earth" or on par with "world's greatest cup of coffee". It would be hard to live up to those standards, but the Snow Mantra Jacket totally does it without thinking twice. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The warmest jacket I have ever owned. I wore it to a football game with a wind chill of minus 5 degrees. never got cold at all. Sat outside all 4 periods. Would recommend to anyone that hate cold weather. Well worth the price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for North Dakota! In the infamous North Dakota winters, I am warm for the first time in my life. The many and expansive pockets are great for carrying everything I need for outdoor work and play. I'll never need another winter coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest jacket on earth I just tried this jacket today in -5° and I couldn't even feel the cold, this is certainly the warmest jacket on the planet. I used to have a nautica expedition parka and that worked well for me but it did have its setbacks but the snow mantra blows the nautica away. Best jacket I've ever had

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best. Jacket. Ever. I live in Montana. It can get very cold up here. This jacket allows me to wear a scrub top or t-shirt to work without layering. It is perfect for ice fishing as well. It is like having a portable heater with you at all times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The snow mantra is more of an environment than a coat. It is exquisitely made in every way and will keep you warm in the most adverse winter conditions. The coyote ruff is gorgeous. The nicest winter coat I have ever purchased by far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest Ever! I live in Minnesota where it gets very cold! -20 zero is not uncommon. I use this coat for ice fishing. It feels like I put on a heater when I wear this coat. Being out on a northern Minnesota lake with a -50 degree wind chill fishing for Lake Trout is as comfy as being in my living room. This coat is outstanding. In fact I own two Canada Goose parkas now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm. Very, very warm. The weather here drops to double-digit below zero temperatures and we have stiff winds; I have to get out in that stuff a couple of times a day, and the wind isn't the only thing that blows. A couple of years ago, in a fed-up moment of clarity, on the recommendation of a close friend I got the Snow Mantra. In red because, well, that's all they had in stock at the time. This coat has now been wrung out for two full winters and here are my observations: 1) This coat is HEAVY. Maybe a full-length heavy fur rig could outweigh it, but I'm skeptical. With pockets loaded it weighs in at about 35 lbs, and that's a lot of coat. This is half the reason not to buy one for vigorous outdoor activity. I still entertain myself by telling people, "Pick it up. Go ahead, pick it up. Didn't think it was that heavy, did you? Hahahahaha." This parlor trick is very entertaining, and you can develop variations if you get bored. 2) It's WARM, and it's a thin step from there to hot. Sweaty, drippy, gotta start unzipping everywhere hot. I don't even put it on if the temp is above 25 degrees because I'll be sweating like a pig in 100 yards. Go big and layer with absorptive stuff. This, with 1) above, makes this a coat for activity no more vigorous than walking at a medium clip. Last winter I was on ice, slipped, and dropped about four feet onto concrete, landing on my side and head. The Goose was so thick it was like falling into a feather bed. Even the skull shot was a "moosh" because I had my hood up. Canada Goose saved my life (well, actually, it kind of did.) I've worn the coat in 22 below with a high wind and haven't had to fasten the snow gaiter or use the heat packs. 3) Lots and lots of pockets. Plenty of them outside, with little net things just right for a cell phone. Big cargo pockets inside, too. There are enough pockets to carry way too much stuff. Your mileage may vary.. 4) The outer fabric is tough as steel and waterproof. At least I haven't run across anything that gets through, in some pretty heavy snow. 5) Being CANADA Goose and not USA Goose, it has a right-hand zipper, and I think they may have a better idea up there because on a coat this heavy (that word again) it's much easier to get in and out. Just get over the automatic left-hand grab. On the subject of miscellaneous, the rescue straps on the shoulders and spine work great for man-handling the coat around. 6) The hood and coyote ruff aren't like anything you've worn before. The wire frame in the fur keeps it floppy, and if you pull it down tight you'll be looking through a little tunnel. This limits your visibility but if it's rank enough out, it's worth it. Coyote fur rocks, and it's true that it won't freeze up. Having said that, I usually wear a full Balaclava under the hood for better visibility while keeping warm. The little neck thingie stays tucked away as much as possible. It tends to work out constantly but it's no big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is GREAT !!! I bought this jacket for a ski trip that I went on in Niseko, Hokkaido Japan... The first jacket I bought was XL (which I normally was HUGE !!!! I think you need to be 6'8 to weat the XL !!! :) I returned it and got the L which was still huge but definitely the correct size for arm length and over-all fit. The jacket has plenty of pockets for storing things...It's almost made for people who go to Antartica or's SUPER warm (I was only wearing a short sleeve t-shirt under the jacket in -8C weather...I was so warm, I just unzipped the front of the jacket and walked around like that. It's a perfect jacket for going in and out of the house can just throw-on the jacket and go out in freezing weather (without layering). I would not recommend it for skiing or snowboarding (it's too bulky). It's more of a walking around type of jacket. Also, because it's bulky...if you are traveling, it will take up a lot of space in your suitcase. It's a tough jacket...I slipped on some steps in a restaurant and landed on my was a pretty bad fall with a severly arm...I thought I ripped the jacket...but nothing happened to the jacket...

How waterproof is this jacket? Can I wear it out in the rain?

Asked by: Mark
The Canada Goose Snow Mantra Parka is water resistant, but not waterproof. It will keep you dry in snow and light rain, but may become saturated if you are in a downpour for an extended period of time.

I'm 5'4" tall, 130 lbs, 69 yrs. Lost some weight from illness, as well as strength, etc Used to go outdoors., now I need O2 condenser all the time, especially in cold weather, and I get cold easily. Think this parka will work for me, as well as fit?

Asked by: redghost
Hello redghost, thanks for your question! This jacket is for extreme conditions and climates (-25°F and below) so it will be very warm. This jacket is also very heavy. It weighs just over 7 pounds, so it might be too heavy for you if you have limited strength abilities. The Canada Goose Men's Constable Fusion Fit Parka might be a better choice for you. It is still very warm and designed for cold temperatures (5° to -15°F) but it weighs less and the Fusion Fit is ideal for smaller body frames. Check it out here: Hope this helps!

Canada Goose Warranty Information

Every Canada Goose product purchased from an Authorized Retailer is fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product - which means the usual and customary wearable life of the product, by the original owner. If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect, Canada Goose will repair the product free of charge, or replace it at their discretion. If the exact style is not available for replacement, a product of equal value and similar style will be provided.

Any repairs needed due to accidents, improper care, negligence, or normal wear and tear are not covered under the Canada Goose warranty. Please note, this warranty is void if the inside garment tags are removed. For any damage not covered under the Warranty, Canada Goose may offer to repair the damage for a reasonable charge. If this is the case, it will be discussed with the consumer prior to any repairs being made.

Note: In accordance with their Health and Safety Practices, Canada Goose requires that your item must be freshly cleaned. If your item has not been cleaned before it arrives they will be happy to clean it for you for a nominal charge, which they will confirm with you first.

For inquires regarding Canada Goose warranty, visit their website at or call 1-888-276-6297.

How do I submit a Warranty/Service claim?
Visit and create an account or login. From there, click on the warranty and repairs icon where you'll be given details for next steps.

What does "Lifetime of the Product" mean?
Canada Goose products are fully warranted, to the original owner, for the practical lifetime of the product. The practical lifetime of the product is not equivalent to the lifetime of the owner.

What is "normal wear and tear"?
Canada Goose manufactures every product to meet their standards, but no matter how carefully you use and care for your Canada Goose product, nothing lasts forever. Gear used every day in the harshest conditions will degrade faster than someone who only wears their product once or twice per year. Eventually every product will begin to show signs of age and wear such as faded fabric or frayed cuffs, Canada Goose will take this into consideration when assessing your warranty request. It may be that your product has simply reached its practical lifetime and is time to be replaced.

What isn't covered under warranty?
When you're busy chasing adventure, Canada Goose recognizes that accidents can and do happen. Although not covered under warranty, tears, rips or other damage to your Canada Goose product can be serviced through their repairs department for a reasonable cost. Improper care or negligence, such as storing your product while wet, keeping it sealed in an airless environment, or not following the care instructions on the contents label inside your garment will result in damages that are not covered under warranty. If Canada Goose is unable to repair the product to working condition, you will be notified and other options may be given.

Do I need to clean my jacket before sending it in?
In order for Canada Goose to service your claim, your item must be cleaned before it arrives. This is for the protection of their staff and in accordance with Health and Safety Standards. Any product that arrives unclean will be subject to a cleaning fee of $25 - 45 CDN (depending on care instructions) before inspections can be made, which will also delay the processing of your claim. To learn how to properly clean your product, please visit their Product Care page.

Will tailoring or altering my Canada Goose product void the warranty?
Canada Goose will still provide warranty service to any un-altered area of the product. Please note that you should never remove the tags from inside the garment as it will void the warranty. Valuable information is located on these tags, which are needed to process your claim.

Does Canada Goose provide alterations?
Unfortunately, Canada Goose does not offer custom alterations or modifications at this time.

Will Canada Goose repair or replace my product?
If a Canada Goose product fails due to a manufacturing defect, they will repair the item at their expense. If the product is not repairable, or the cost of the repairs exceeds the value of the product, at their discretion, they may choose to replace the product instead.

I've got a question about my claim, who can I contact?
You can reach out to a Canada Goose Customer Experience Specialist to check on your claim via the online communication tool within the warranty section or via telephone at 1-888-276-6297.

How long will it take to get my product back?
Canada Goose aims to have your product back to you as quickly as possible so you can get back to exploring the great outdoors. The typical turn-around time is 30 business days from the time your product is received by them to the time they ship it back to you. Please keep in mind that fall/winter is the busiest season for warranty and repair service.

How much will it cost to get repairs done?
For any repairs covered by their Warranty Policy there is no charge to you. Non-warranty repair costs will vary, depending on the materials and length of time required. Once Canada Goose has received and assessed your product, you will be contacted regarding repair options and costs (if applicable).

Who handles shipping costs?
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping items to Canada Goose, and Canada Goose will cover the return shipping costs. Please ensure that you ship the product using a carrier that can provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery. You are responsible for your product until it has been signed as delivered by Canada Goose.
