Award Winner - American Alpine Institute Guides Choice Award 2012

The Camp USA Photon Wire Carabiner is an ultralight carabiner for a wide range of climbing applications. Straight or bent, the choice is yours, either way it comes in a wire gate that clips smooth and fast when you're looking to move onto the next obstacle. Leave the heavy gear at home, 'cause these babies are just 1 ounces each. Create your own quickdraw or rack up the cams, color coding the straight gates if you'd like. Grab 'em and go.

FEATURES of the Camp USA Photon Wire Carabiner

  • One of the lightest full-size carabiners in the world
  • Full size for easy clipping
  • Thin spine that makes for easy grabbing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super lightweight with large gate opening and great action Awesome biner, I use these now for all my extendable draws as well as racking nuts and cams (although have 4x cams per biner). This has shaved a lot of weight off the rack whilst giving me a biner with a really smooth action and large gate opening. Clipping the rope is sweet. The overall size/weight ratio is about the best I have found. Also works great for ice/alpine climbing with no real area for ice to clog up. You can go even lighter with the Camp nano or the Metolius fs mini but these are so small dexterity issues with my big ol paws so this biner is a great fit all round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wire Gate Biner of Choice Like the description says, these biners are some of the lightest on the market and Camp does it without sacrificing anything. Because of the non-keylock feature, they're best used for clipping to a rope when leading, hence why I use them exclusively for alpine draws. Also the gate shape is perfect for clipping. Heck, they're so good you can practically throw the rope at it and make a slam dunk. Get these and none others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the carabiner for me! I am a small women, so the weight of a full rack is definitely a factor for me, since I'm mostly a trad climber. This carabiner is awesome! Lightweight, reliable AND full-sized. If first discovered it in Chamonix and now I wonder why Camp is no more well-known in the US. Certainly not because of its quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This carabiner works great, I love it. I would recommend this to anyone that does backpacking and needs a carabiner to hold things on the outside of there pack. Also these are very lightweight with a great load rating. You get a great price to performance ratio with these biners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clipping action, lightweight i love this biner. i use the bent gate version for all my quickdraws and alpine draws. weighs less than most mini biners and is full size, just as big as any other non-locking full size biner.,,gate action is consistent and feels good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, strong and big What I love about this carabiner is the fact that it is light and has a large opening. I can easily use it with gloves on and dont have to fumble around when clipping in on lead like I do with much smaller carabiners.
