Rated 2 out of 5 by from changes not necessary totally agree with Kyle: For one, the bottom pocket has been made smaller. The net inside the pocket was previously one net, and could be used to keep a cellphone or wallet secure. Now the two separate pockets are both too small to fit an iPhone or wallet, and have been made all but useless. What were they thinking??

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not As Good As Previous Version As my title states, this new Rogue pack is not as good as the previous version. I bought my first Rogue in 2010 and the new version in 2017. There have been changes made and features removed that are very questionable. For one, the bottom pocket has been made smaller. The net inside the pocket was previously one net, and could be used to keep a cellphone or wallet secure. Now the two separate pockets are both too small to fit an iPhone or wallet, and have been made all but useless. On the old version of the pack the bladder retainer is Velcro and separated which made the bladder easily removable. The new pack has a continuous elastic band which you have to fight to remove the bladder. The adjustment straps on the old pack featured handy Velcro retainer straps to keep the excess strap secured. The new pack leaves these straps loose. The worst offense to me is the new Crux reservoir. The reservoir that is included with the pack is not even the same as the one you get when you buy the Crux reservoir independently. The one that comes with the pack does not have the quick detach hose included on the independent reservoir. This is a very offensive decision. At the asking price for this pack, why would a full featured reservoir already in production that fits this pack not be included standard? The new reservoir is nice and is an upgrade from the one that came with my Rogue pack in 2010. I would have been more than happy just buying the reservoir and keeping my old pack with the better features that I have used for years, but Camelbak decided to make some superficial changes (the plastic piece that fits over the edge and holds the top of the pack closed has been elongated so that it does not fit the old version) to the reservoir so that it would not fit in the old pack thus making it necessary to buy the new inferior version. If your bladder wears out and you need a new one after a new bladder version is released, I would not expect it to fit. This makes me question the longevity of this pack. I have no problems with this pack as far as durability, aesthetics, or fit. If this were my first Camelbak and I didn't know what the old version was like, I'm sure I would be pleased. It is just apparent that Camelbak figured out they could spend less making the pack, charge the same for it, and make the only improved part slightly different in order force old customers into buying new things they neither want nor need.

- + Size Guide

CamelBak Men's Packs

CamelBak backpacks are designed and built to fit an array of body types and sizes. Adjustable should straps make their backpacks suitable for a torso size range, and that info can be found in the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS. You can use the steps below to determine your torso size.

CamelBak hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
