Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthwhile Investment! Last night was the first opportunity I had to try out my new Sprinter Headlamp (SH). I anxiously anticipated the chance to still squeeze in a short 3-mile trail run with my dog after dark, since I had worked all day long. The SH did not disappoint! I was exceptionally pleased with the light emitted, with the light-weight feel, and with the ease of use. When I posted pics of same area dark vs. using SH, a friend commented that it was "Just like daylight!" Can't wait to use the SH again, as I am thrilled with the worthwhile investment. This product greatly expands opportunities to run outdoors in the very early AM's and the very late PM's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Customer Service! I had the first generation Sprinter, and was pleased with it till the wiring harness failed at the light. BD's customer service was absolutely fantastic with their support. I was seriously considering a different brand headlamp until I spoke with the BD support, but the customer service experience swayed me to remain a BD customer in the lighting category. I didn't give any ultimatums or my consideration of other brands, just explained my situation, and BD blew my expectations away by going above and beyond with their support. The sprinter light itself is a good light. Simple, aids in safety on the roads with its red strobe on the back, and provides ample lighting. Thanks for the great customer service, Black Diamond. Keep it up!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Guiding Light Excellent lighting & balance - don't realize it's even on your head. My runs are on the dark, soggy, foggy Oregon trails where visibility and moisture are issues. The Sprinter cuts through the muck and keeps me from face-planting at 5am. Perhaps the best feature is how balanced & secure the Sprinter is on-head. It never bobbles and I sometimes forget I'm wearing it. I typically charge it after 5 80-minute runs. So far, so great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic running headlamp My wife runs early all year even in very cold weather. After giving her 4 headlamps that sit in a drawer, she got this one and loves it! Others were too dim, to heavy, didn't stay in place, etc... She loves this one because it is light weight, very bright, lasts for a few hours on a single charge, the over head strap prevents it bouncing down and flashing safety light on the back is a great bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Headlamp for Running Safety This is the best headlamp that I have owned for running. The compact design does not bounce and it fits easily on my bare head as well as over hats because of the adjustable straps. The headlamp is bright enough to see the surface in front of you and the flashing red light in the back is a great safety feature. Plus, it is easily rechargeable so you can keep the lights bright.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for night and trails I just recently purchased this light a few weeks ago for night and trail running, the headlamp is perfect for what I needed and has been working well. featuring a brighter and clear adjustable light of 130 lumens and a secure fit, also bought this product for its USB rechargeable battery source and lock out for accidental discharge of it's power. So far it's been working Great & Love the headlamp!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have headlamp for early morning runs and skis Each new generation of the Sprinter Head lamp has surpassed the last. This is the lightest and brightest version I have used yet. I started using this head lamp 5 seasons ago when a friend introduced me to skiing in the dark. My friend's Sprinter headlamp was so bright my pathetic headlamp seemed as if it was off. I soon started skiing early mornings before work at ski areas. The brightness was key, but the red blinking light was essential to make sure snowmobiles and snow cats could see me. I also really appreciate having the red blinker while doing early morning runs. Most drivers aren't paying attention that early in the morning. It is nice to be able to turn off the red light when necessary too. It seems that BD has figured out the rechargeable batteries. This is the best version yet allowing me to recharge via a USB cord. This is the essential early morning or late evening runner or skier's companion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice new piece This is surprisingly lightweight, and is more balanced on my head than the other headlamps I have used in the past for running. Light output is great. I haven't figured out how to turn on just the front light without having the back red blinker come on, but you can easily turn the red light off with the rear button after you turn on both lights with the front button. I haven't figured out controls for a constant-on rear red light mode. Sometimes it is nice not to give your running partner a seizure if you get ahead of them on the trail, sidewalk or shoulder, but you still want red light on. This may just be a thing I need to spend more time with the instruction manual to figure out. But it wasn't immediately intuitive to me. Also, glad this unit doesn't have the touch bezel. The touch bezel is fine on your head until you need to use the headlamp to read a map in your lap. then the bezel is just constantly adjusting. I'm a bit of a luddite in that regard I am sure. Maybe I should just carry a candle. If you need a headlamp for a Ragnar running relay, I would 100% recommend this headlamp for that use. Almost seems like it was designed just for that format of event.
