DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket Just received mine less than a week ago, accidentally ordered the medium, it's a tight fit with layers, have done 4 layers and it fit really snug, I'm 5'9" 175, probably should have upsized, but no complaints. Going to keep it for spring and summer, maybe fall. I'm going to go for the large Sharp End shell for more layering options for winter. With the liquid point I layer with the Coefficient Hoodie, Alpine Start Hoodie, Access Hoodie and finally First Light Hoodie then Liquid point Shell, a little snug altogether but still have complete range of motion. I a great jacket, I would suggest it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, great durability! Picked this one up about a week ago and I know that's not too long but I feel like I've already put it through the ringer and I'm impressed. Ordered up a size for easy layering with a puffy and I'm glad I did. First day took it out for a scramble and scraped it all over, already impressed with the durability. Then day two through four brought it out at work. Three days with a chainsaw slung over the shoulder and not a scuff yet. Very impressed and satisfied with this shell. I'm 6' and and the arms are long on the large, but I like them that way so I can retract my hands like a turtle in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In LOVE! I got this as a gift for my husband (yeah, I treat him well) and he is thrilled with this jacket! He loves how lightweight it is, how breathable it is, how minimalist it is, how waterproof it is and how quiet it is and it's Gore-tex. When we met he told me that it is worth every penny to buy products made with Gore-tex and he's right! This jacket performs as well as all of his other GTX shells (you have to have specific gear for specific activities). Fits great, it does run slim so I had to get him a size larger than he normally would wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High marks for function, cost and style. Finally had to retire my old rain buddy and some moderately diligent research led me to the LPS. It's my first BD product and I'm Impressed. FUNCTION: It does the job it's supposed to. Beats back rain, solid pit zips, large hood, and trims weight by ditching what you don't need. COST: a well featured, goretex shell at this price point is rare. As an aspiring amateur it can be hard to justify dedicated clothing but this hits the mark on cost and - finally for STYLE - it seamlessly blends in off the mountain and around town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this light weight shell. I take this with me everywhere as it packs down to nothing and works great in a down pour. I like its light weightness and goes on easy and the hood is perfect. I'd purchase another one when you add to zip hand pockets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice light weight shell I have not had it out in heavy rain yet so I can not speak to its waterproof capabilities. I have been wearing it on my bike commute to work as a windbreaker and it is great for that. The hood fits well over my helmet and the pit zips are easy enough. My not concern is its durablity. In a month I have put two holes in it and I am not even sure when or how. It may not be durably enough for daily use but great to have in the pack. Its light weight and packs small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Lightweight Shell Found an excellent ultra light shell! I've been using this Liquid Point Shell underneath my ski patrol vest for a month now. Performs very well. Wish it had a chest pocket instead of the two lower pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain shell I purchased the 2016 version of this jacket in the Atlantis color. It has been a great jacket for around town use and also in the woods when it's raining/snowing. Pit zips are the #1 feature I look for in a shell, and the Liquid Point has large, easy to use 2-way pit zips that work awesome. The pockets are located low, which works good for use as hand pockets but might be covered by a hip belt or harness. The jacket is light weight and has all of the features I wanted. The hood is a great size for going over a hat, but would be a tight fit over most of my helmets. It has a very tall collar which is nice when you want to zip up and hunker down, but can cause a quasi-lapel look when unzipped. I want all of my outerwear to be usable around town as well as the back country, and this jacket fits that goal perfectly. The shell fits slim, layering well over a base layer or light sweatshirt/puffy, but I do not think I could layer enough underneath to be warm down to 0*F unless I was very active. I've only worn it through a couple heavy rains so far, but I look forward to testing it's weather resistance this spring.
