Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber! Try and find a comparable Pant at this price and you will come up short. Excellent Pant for warm weather and high output activities. Well designed, great fit. A+

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great pants, except for one major flaw Pants are great, with only one (significant) flaw. First the great: 1) suspenders and belt: do you need them both? no, but it's great to have them. I sometimes use them with the suspenders up, and sometimes with them hanging down around my waist. The belt would be better if it was stretchy (like an Arcade belt), but that's an easy replacement 2) the vents are terrific. On hot CA Sierra days, I leave them open all day, and don't get hot. I was originally planning to cut out the mesh fabric so the vent was truly wide open, but after using them for 3 days straight, I have decided that I don't need the added ventilation, and the mesh provides nice sun protection 3) the pockets are great and accommodate: phone, beacon, chapstick, buff, light gloves. 4) the color is great. I got them in blue. I hate grey/khaki pants. 5) true to size, great fit. I'm 5'7" and the small fits great And for the flaw? 6) The lower gator/cuff SUCKS. It's too small for ski boots; is a struggle to get over the top of my Technica Zero-G boots. I can live with the "backcountry tight-pant guy" look, but I really dislike how it doesn't stretch, or the zipper doesn't allow the cuff to expand. If the gator was bigger, or expandable, I'd give them 5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great for me Purchased for a trip to a glacier in Peru. They are the only pants I wore for the 3 days at 14000 to 16,500 ft. Used a light base layer, and without a base layer. The pants breathe well, and provided adequate wind protection for my use. The fit is perfect for my not so athletic shape. These pants will be my primary backcounty ski pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything You Could Want These pants are my go to touring pants. They are light weight and have a unique stretch to them; yet, they are incredibly warm and water resistant. Very accessible pockets, the suspenders are a handy feature, and the adjustable waist is a good feature for days with different layering. I would absolutely recommend these pants for any day out on the mountain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ski pants turn after turn After more than 400 days they perform and look as well as they did on day one! I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I have been very pleased with these pants. They fit well. They are rugged enough to use with crampons. The pockets are easy to get into, and hold all by gloves, beanies, phones, and apple cores. I choose ski in these pants unless it is very cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Touring Pant I have used these guiding and recreating all winter. Excellent fit, great material, relevant features. I don't have to use the suspenders because the internal belt is so badass. I'm 6' and 160 lbs with a waist size of 31. The medium fits really well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but could be improved Worn about 20 times so far this season. I wear lightweight long johns underneath. Have been good from 0 to -22c. The zippered vents work good for warm wx climbs. I replaced the suspenders with something a little beefier (less elastic). Lots of room in side pockets. Wish one of the pockets was set up for a beacon (a way to secure the zipper closed and a ring in the pocket to attach the beacon cord to). I like to unbuckle my boots and loosen the velcro power straps for the climbs. The integral powder skirts make this a pain. They are also a pretty tight fit over the boot. Other than cutting them off I don't know what can be done about that. If I was just manual touring then I would prob cut them off. But they are nice to have when sled skiing and you have to walk around in the deep pow when digging the sled out. Speaking of sled skiing, the pants are not waterproof and you end up with a wet bum from sitting on the sled. Would be nice to have a waterproof seat patch. This would be good for non sled days too, when sitting down to eat lunch. Would be nice for sitting on lifts when hitting the backcountry from lifts at the resort too.
