The Black Diamond Men's Access LT Hybrid Hoody is a insulated jacket for cold weather climbs. Let your pal start up first and this'll get you through the belay with PrimaLoft® Gold insulation to wrap up in. Once it's your turn to ascend, or even if you're just hiking the approach the Schoeller® stretch side panels allow your body to breath easy. Pull the hood up over your helmet and when you shed the layer it'll stow in it's chest pocket so you can clip it to your harness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Amazing Jacket I bought this at the beginning of winter for the upcoming ski and alpine climbing season for my area and it is one of the best jackets I have ever owned. Its very warm, some days in would be -10F outside and add wind on top of it and I was still very comfortable. Even when it I soaked all the way through it still insulates you and keeps you nice and cozy. It's an amazing jacket to have and I recommend it to anyone looking for a jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I bought this jacket needing a lightweight, packable alternative to a soft shell. This jacket fits the bill and has been great thus far. I have worn it several times, but have not really tested it's limits yet. I have worn it several times for early morning outings in the mid-30s F. It is very warm so long as you are active. It is reasonably warm while resting, but will require a warm base layer to retain enough heat to be comfortable. I haven't tested the DWR in anything more than a light rain, but so far water beads up and runs off. I am 5'9" at 180 pounds and normally wear a 38-40" chest jacket. This jacket fits great but does not leave a lot of room for bulky layers underneath. Only complaint I have is that it has a very tall collar that drapes over when the jacket isn't zipped all the way up. The tall collar is awesome to keep the cold off of your neck and face, but if you are wearing it casually it looks a bit goofy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best jacket for all climbers. Period. This thing is so light when it came in the box I thought it was bubble wrap before I opened it. Its an outstanding mid layer and a pretty good outer layer for climbing in 25-40 degree(F) weather. The side baffles make mobility it's strong point while a tight warm fit is the close runner up. Super durable, light, and packable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought the red jacket and it is a darker color than what is displayed. I like the darker red because it is I bought the red jacket and it is a darker color than what is displayed. The jacket fits wonderfully! However the armpits are a little high on me but the sleeves and then waist are great. I use this jacket when I went rock climbing for Rocktober Fest and it was wonderful. Kept me warm during the nights and morning. Probably need a base layer if you are not active, however, if your moving you don't really need one. Also its pretty tight fitting to your body so a thick layer may be a little hard to put under. But I put a rain jacket over top of it and it worked really well. I also use this to travel with on flights and just around campus. Very compactable. The only thing I did not like is a draw string on the hood. It is right in the middle of the head, so if you have the hood up and you lean your head back your probably going to hit it. But you can pull the string back so its not right on your head. Overall, an awesome purchase!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only true "all-arounder" in my closet I'm 6'1" 170lbs and bought a size M to save some weight/space. The fit is snug but it works well for this piece due to its design, would not go to a L for my use. Bought this as a ski touring layer for the PNW. It functions great in that respect; easy to throw on under a windlayer or shell while snacking. It is super light, and packs down well. It provides an adequate amount of warmth for 20-25F degree days when used for short periods of time. I was surprised to learn how well this piece worked as a climbing layer for late season multi-pitch rock. I was a little worried about abrasion because of the lightweight feel of the fabric, but despite about 16 pitches (total) on abrasive granite and metamorphic rock, I still see no signs or wear on the arms or torso. The jacket easily packs into its carry pocket. Its a definite boost in warmth and protection than a windshirt, and is just slightly bulkier. Overall, really happy with this thing. The hood works and fits well over a climbing helmet. It packs well, is super light, and provides just enough warmth for higher output activities.
