The Black Diamond Bullet 16 Pack is a sleek backpack for climbing. Need a way to get your climbing gear to the crag because there seems to be a trail or scramble in your way? This 16 liter pack is simple and unassuming, with one large main section that opens wide via zipper and a small external zip section for quick-access items. The foam backpanel is removable and so is the webbing hipbelt, so you can use 'em if you want, or ditch them to drop even more weight. Load up the necessities like shoes and harness, make your buddy carry the rope, and get up early for a full day of climbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Pack This has quickly become my favorite pack, not just while climbing up multi-pitch routes, but as my commuter bag, day pack, short-hike-evening-crag-climb pack, it goes everywhere with me. The bag is so burly yet slim and contoured. Just the right amount of pockets as well. BD really thought about the Bullet pack and made it perfect. Only thing I wish could be added would be a few daisy chains on the outside somewhere. Thanks for an amazing product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tidy to haul, versatile, climbs well I use a Bullet pack for multi-pitch climbing and love that it has an integrated haul loop, is made from sturdy fabric and stores all items that I need for the day internally. It can be tough to fit extra layers or another person's things, so is space limited for guiding (I like the Petzl Bug for more space). This pack has held up through many of chimneys, OW and grovelly 4th class. I own 3 of these packs and have them stashed in various gear caches because they are the right tool and are highly functional for a day in the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for Medical Kit I searched and searched for a decent pack to make a light and fast medical response kit. This one has worked out the best. It's simple, it's durable, and it's even red! Considering it's small stature, the volume is really impressive. In case you're wondering, I was able to load it with: BVM, NPA, OPA, Chest Seals, tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, roll gauze, 4x4s, steri-strips, ToB, tegaderm, ez scrub, compression bandage, abdominal dressing, burn dressing, eye wash, sam splint, cohesive, ace bandages, cravats, tape, scissors, gloves, and a sizable kit for ouchies and boo boos. It's packed pretty tight but I think I can stuff a few more items in there! Stay safe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack! Perfect sized day pack whether you are traveling around the city or the crag. Fits water and snacks with plenty of room for an extra layer or a shell or both. I really like the entire set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact; swallows up essential gear; perfect! This pack very quickly became my go-to light & fast hiking and peak bagging pack. I've logged well over 100 miles with this pack in the desert, mountains, and a couple days in Zion NP. In all situations it easily and comfortably held two nalgene bottles, a rain layer, a thermal layer, snacks, a pair of socks, a headlamp, beanie, softshell gloves, and a small bag of essentials (lip balm, sunscreen, knife, extra batteries, etc.). This pack actually holds a ton of gear without feeling bulky. It has held up extremely well on some moderate chimney climbing on Southern Utah sandstone, and fits very comfortably whether I'm doing some technical ridge climbing or on a defined trail. The interior pocket gussets make for easy zipping without catching on your gear. The 420d nylon sheds light moisture with ease and dries faster than I expected. The zipper pulls work well with gloved hands, but are not obtrusively large or long. There isn't an excess of length to the shoulder and waist straps - but they are sufficiently long for adjustment over a wide-range of body size. I'm an expert-level hiker and climber and I have extremely specific requirements for technical features, durability, ease of use, fit, and comfort. This pack excels within it's intended use as a minimalist pack for hiking, peak bagging, and as a summit pack. I was initially a bit worried about the fit of the shoulder straps as they seemed to fit wide (toward the outside of my shoulders); but my concern vanished after the first trip out: a 7-mile back country ski trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal for Resort Skiing/Riding! Used this pack last week while skiing/riding in CO with my wife and kids! Surprising how much I could carry comfortably in this 16L pack. Three platypus bottles, snacks, first aid kit, spare mitts, SLR camera, and still room to spare. Low profile made it comfortable even when sitting on the lift. Easily removed back pad was great when taking a break to shoot photos on the mountain. Small interior, and exterior pockets for essentials. Zipper pulls easy to work even with gloves on. Great pack at a great price.
