Product Description Item No.   10003271

The Black Diamond Bombshelter tent is a four-person, four-season tent with a design that incorporates two doors and two vestibules, to provide plenty of space and ventilation. This Black Diamond series tent is expedition tested to remain incredibly stable in windy conditions, and features 4 interior poles that intersect 7 times for maximum strength and performance. Two doors and vestibules make the Black Diamond Bombshelter more conveniently accessible for all four occupants, and four interior mesh pockets provide additional storage for climbing gear, clothing and more. The whopping 50 square foot design of this Black Diamond tent makes it probably twice as big as the bathroom in my first apartment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Definitely Things to Improvement I live in Alaska and have owned the bombshelter tent for 6 years. I have taken this tent on four 7-10 day float trips in western Alaska in the fall (Temp 40 - 70 F). Lots of rain and wind. The tent does keep you dry and can withstand high winds. However, there is definitely room for improvement. 1. To set it up you have to crawl into a wet low tent laying on your back basically in a wet parachute. The four interior poles are simple to install, but my family and friends constantly give me stick for how hard or uncomfortable this tent is to set up. 2. The poles are held in place with a twist tie system that often doesn't work the first, second, or third time. Once you get them to hold, they are good. However, inside a wet parachute, they need to work the first time. 3. The front door and vestibule zip down to the ground and it gets very narrow for your body at the bottom of the zipper. Your dry sleep clothing is going to get wet as you open the door for the nightly whiz... For an old 54 year old, this is a pain. It is extremely difficult to zip the outer front fly and vestibule closed for a 6' man. 4. The front door and vestibule are difficult to crawl into (small and low). When it is raining, you get wet because of touching the wet outside material.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tent, but high price Fairly light full 4 season compatible tent. Room enough for 3, but pushing it with 4. Rain, wind or snow it will handle as it comes. If you travel light and only camp in somewhat fair weather the price may not justify buying this tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional tent This is an exceptional tent. The shell is weather-proof and does not need a rainfly, which is a unique and nice asset. I lived in this tent 1.5 months, and it saved my life in really bad weather. It is expensive but worth it if you camp in harsh conditions or areas that can become prone to violent weather. I lost the first one in a micro-burst storm when it flew up in the air along with a lot of equipment, and had to buy a second one. Ouch on the price, but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality is top notch and it keeps you warm. Amazing tent. Large and roomy for three people plus gear. Not having a rain fly makes set up a snap. The tent poles are super bendy whihc made setup with one person a snap in under 5 minutes. The quality of this tent is top notch. It will keep you very warm.
