Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with this bag My ex kept my Marmot bag as part of the divorce LOL so I needed a solid replacement. All the reviews and price range led me to the BA Lost Ranger. I'm 6'4" 240lbs so I got the long/wide version. Plenty of room and I love the comfort and warmth it has. Light and packs fairly small. first night out it got down to 37* and I was fine. No issues whatsoever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb sleeping vessel! Bought this bag a whole bag and have since used it on multiple backpacking trips. My bag is a long and it packs down extremely well with a separate stuff sack. Works great in below freezing temperatures as well as when zipped together with another’s big Agnes bag. Sleeping pad sleeve is also very accomodating to any pad of average size, not just the recommended big Agnes pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE bag! I am a bigger guy... 6'3" 250 lbs, as a backpacker, my unicorn was a sleeping system that was not only light enough, but wide enough to zip all the way up past my shoulders without me feeling like I am being buried alive. I ordered the wide long bag with the insulated sleeping pad with complete apprehension as other bags I have bought don't stack up. This bag is the ONLY one I have found that combines lightweight, low temp rating, and a size I not only can zip up comfortably, but can actually roll to my side in! Three words! Worth... The... Money! I had to save for this and I am so glad I did!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HMMM... Some things I didn't like It is hard to criticize this bag but there are definitely some things for buyers to be aware of. I sleep pretty warm but I found this bag to be colder than it should have been, at temps in the low end of 40 I needed thermal pants on to keep warm and my feet were cold without wool socks. You could summarise it by saying that I am not at all convinced that not having insulation in the bottom of the bag is the way to go. I had this matched up with a Big Ag double z sleeping pad and having the p[ad in the bottom pouch prevents you from tucking the end of the bag under your feet and pulling the bag in around you. The bag seemed to be well constructed and I had no other issues other than the bag not being as warm as I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for those who like to sprawl I bought this bag to use with the BA Q-core SLX and it is one of the most comfortable sleep systems i have ever used. I am a fairly large person, 6'3" 210 lbs, so i bought the long/wide bag and pad. It's like my own little bed in my tent. It can get a bit cold in the footbox because there is a lot of extra room but i seemed to solve this by tucking my bag under my legs to warm up. It is definitely a little heavier than what i was hoping for >3 lbs but i think the comfort makes up for a little of that.

Is this a good bag to use with a hammock? Or does the integrated lad cause issues?

Asked by: JRanney
HIya JRanney, thanks for your question! This bag would totally work with a hammock. The trick is to experiment to get the right amount of air in the sleeping pad. You might need to under-inflate it to center your body and keep the pad and bag from sliding around. Hope this helps!
