The Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 Tent is a two person tent that is all about the space. Big on space, with steep walls and a vertical single door, plus additional room where you lay your feet. As for the weight, it remains plenty low at 2lbs, 5oz (packed weight), prime for backpacking. Heck you can even go solo and enjoy the extra space. Or bring a long a 4-legged friend. One extra human also acceptable. The mostly mesh upper creates loads of breathability with a rain fly that shields you from the storm and creates a spacious vestibule. See ya on the trail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros and Cons after 80 days of use I've now taken this tent on 2 long-distance hiking trips (520 km in the arctic and 850 km in the Pyrenees). I love it. I like space to spread out so using the 2 person tent for just me is perfect - it gives me enough room to put some gear on either side of me and my backpack at my feet (I'm 5'8"). The vestibule is smallish but is perfect for what I use it for - my boots, gaiters, and occasionally my stove. It's lightweight and packs down small. Despite this, it's pretty durable - I had a couple lines & stakes break at the end of my last trip but they made it through more than 2 solid months of use before that. It's tall enough at the front to allow you to sit up, which is nice for changing in a tent. Also, the footprint is small enough that you really can pitch it in lots of seemingly unwelcoming places - last summer, I even pitched it in one of only two places where my guidebook said it was impossible to camp in 850 km. Also, I love the continuous zip - it doesn't leave any gaps for bugs to get in. The tent stays perfectly dry in rain - I took a rest day and left it up during a huge storm (40 hours of pouring rain) - not even a drop inside! However, there are a few drawbacks: 1. If you break camp before the sun is up in cold weather, the water soaks through the fly and it will not be dry, even if you shake it out. That being said, I got into a habit of just packing the fly separately and hanging it up to dry during lunch, which worked really well (took about 20 minutes in sun and moderate wind). 2. The tent is not freestanding - if the ground is hard or rocky, you might have to set rocks on top of the tent pegs if they won't go in to keep your bottom edges pulled out. 3. The fly is not supported off the tent at the bottom edges, which means if you're not careful and have gear leaning up against your tent inner, you may get water inside your tent. 4. It's not great in high winds - it bends a lot (but hasn't broken) - I mostly pitch it in sheltered areas now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, light, light! This is my second Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 tent. The first one is about 10 years old and the zipper was starting to not work. Love the lightness of these tents, yet they are very strong. Major bug netting works to keep even the no-see-ums out (unless the zipper doesn't work).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the other one only more comfortable! I had the Fly Creek UL2. It's a solid 3 season, outrageously lightweight tent. Great for anything you need it to do short of alpine trips. For the weight, you won't find a better option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Way Impressed I've been using an older Walrus tent for the past 10 years and it's been a good tent, but dang this new Fly Creek blew my mind. It's so light I swear I have to check to make sure all the poles and stakes are there before I pack it. It is incredibly light. My Walrus wasn't free standing and quite a bit smaller, but it had to weigh twice as much. I packed it in 2 weeks ago for the rifle hunt and spent 6 nights in it. I had about a foot of snow fall on me, but I just brushed it off and it stayed surprising dry. So far I have to say this thing is amazing. I'm anxious to see how it wears. I hope I will be able to use this tent for MANY years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, tight fit for 2 people If you want something as durable as a bouncy house buy something else. This is a lightweight tent that needs lots of stakes to properly set up. You can't have a spacious tough tent without paying a weight price. Without rain we kept the vestibule open and condensation wasn't too bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A well made tent for ultralighters and soloists After using my 2 person Fly Creek on two trips, I am satisfied I picked the right tent for solo ultralight tripping. Set up can be tricky: getting the right tension on the fly to minimize condensation has been a problem. In September, I stayed dry, no condensation problems, through a three day rainy spell in the Northwoods. While the tent is very well made, the materials are light and durability could be a concern on a long haul.
