The Arc'teryx Women's Atom LT Hoody is a light jacket for fair weather snowshoeing, climbing, and hiking. Moving hard and fast through the mountains creates plenty of body heat and the lightweight Coreloft™ insulation helps trap the warm air you generate close to the body. Ideally worn as a midlayer, so be sure to throw your hardshell over top when the elements fall upon your adventure. Be warned my friends, if you're not moving with purpose, the super cool technology won't work as it should. The side panels are all about breathability, made from Polartec® Power Stretch® with Hardface™ technology to give your sweaty pits plenty of cool-factor. When your body heat rises to heights you can't control, shed the hoody from your back and compress it down into the arm sleeve to create a neat little package you can stuff into your backpack for later. The trim fit keeps it close to your body for a stellar look with stretch knit cuffs that wrap closely around your wrists for comfort and draft blocking. Play hard out there.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stop reading this and buy the jacket already I picked this up two years ago for the move out to Chicago. It still looks and feels as good as new despite me wearing it at least four times a week half the year. Comfortable for temps between the 30s and 60s, light enough, very breathable. Will fend off the rain in a pinch, though I don't know how effective if would be if you wore it for an extended period of time in a downpour. Hood is fixed and unadjustable, but unlike other hoods this one actually fits my head. 5'2", 125 - got mine in S and I can still fit a fleece underneath. 9 times out of 10 when I need a jacket I'll grab this one. I'd take this over a down jacket any day. Seriously, just go buy it already!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Notes on extended wear.. If you buy this jacket, which I would highly recommend , you will likely end up wearing it to death, i.e. for everything, everywhere, all seasons, like I did. Here are a couple notes of things I noticed after extended wear and tear: The stretchy side panels of the jacket will stretch out. I wish I had bought the jacket a size smaller (it would have been a little snug at first, but after time I think that would have been a better fit). If you don't want the side panel material to pill (mine did after the first few washes), always wash it inside out. The outer fabric is so soft and lightweight it feels beautiful on, but it stains and attracts dirt like no other technical jacket I own. Expect to wash this piece lots and look after stains before they set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This jacket is awesome. Not much more to say, but I'll keep going. It's so versatile and packable, but what really stood out for me was the fit. I cannot say enough about the Arc'teryx women's sizing. The fit is perfect - I'm usually between sizes and I have a hard time finding clothing that has the right arm length, shoulder width and hip width. I'm 5'5" and 120lbs, and the small is perfect. I was worried that it would be bulky and shapeless, but it has a slim and flattering fit around the bust and waist. It's still roomy enough for a light sweater underneath. Do yourself a solid and buy this sweet jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best buys ever This hoody is so well-designed that I can actually be bothered to write a review! It's essentially windproof, super lightweight, comfortable, breathable, stretchy in all the right places, warm and packs down into a tiny package. I LOVE this piece. It's one of the best clothing items I have ever bought. It works as a jacket on cool fall/spring days, and as an insulating layer when it gets colder. I'm getting one for my little bro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from world's best jacket When I bought this jacket, I would have never imagined how much I would love this piece. Recently, a friend referred to it as the best jacket in the world and I agree. It is THE most versatile jacket ever: stylish, always warm, never too hot, the shape of the hoody is PERFECT, I wear it on high mountains, downtown, wherever...Bulk free, superlight, optimal warmth-to-weight ratio, if you want to buy one peace from Arc'teryx, get the Atom LT. It is easy to wash and dry, too. I'm observing some pilling on the side panels, but just very very slightly. I've had this jacket for a bit under a year and worn it year round! I take in on every hike, no matter how hot or cold the weather is. Considering buying a second one in another color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight. Compact. Warm. Stylish. This is my first Arc'teryx product. Elegant details made this jacket a standout.. I took it with me on a month-long camping and sailing adventure to Australia. While many reviewers talked about it being warm in seriously cold temperatures, I found it to be perfectly comfortable in milder temps. It was great in the cool evenings and chilly early mornings, and perfect for windy sailing into the evenings. The pockets are comfy cozy. The inside pocket is roomy. Best of all, it packs into something that takes up about as much space as my birding field guide - only it weighs about as much as 6 paper clips. The jacket moves with you. It's not just about function, it's about stylish design. It'll be my go-to jacket from now on. My Patagonia down sweater jacket will be taking a back seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket - Warm and Breathable I adore my Atom LT jacket. I have worn this as a stand alone outer shell for active hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering in temperatures down to 40 degrees. The balance between warmth and breathability is fantastic. Be aware though that those side fleece panels really do breathe - you'll get some nice air flow on your sides. When the activity level goes down or the temperature drops it also makes an amazing mid-layer under a hard shell. I have even been known to wear it around the house and to the gym as a snug wearable blanket - it insulates so much more than you would think! I am also impressed with the durability heading into my second season. The soft feeling outer fabric washes well, handles an impressive amount of abrasion, and puts up with stuffing in the corners of the pack. TLDR: Great jacket, warmer and more breathable than it appears, impressive durability. Get one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an amazing jacket I got this jacket from a local outdoor store, and it's my favorite. I live in Northern California where it's usuallt in the 40s-50s, and frostbitten in the morning. I wear this jacket in the early mornings, at night, in light rain and it's perfect. I'm toasty and warm and windproof in conditions where I would usually have to layer up. I have it in Magenta and the color goes with a lot of what I own. And it's so light!! I stuff it into my purse and it barely weighs anything. One of the best, if not the best apparel purchases I've ever made.

What's the lowest temperature this jacket can be worn in and still be warm?

Asked by: Lauren
HIya Lauren! This is a difficult question to answer because warmth is a subjective thing. Each person tolerates temperatures differently. That said, this light weight jacket depends on body heat generated through activities (like hiking, climbing, etc.) to keep you warm. Otherwise, it is good for fall, early winter or spring temperatures. With proper layering, it should keep you warm in colder conditions. Hope this helps!
