The Arc'teryx Women's Atom AR Hoody is an insulated jacket for cold weather skiing, climbing, and hiking. The Atom AR Hoody uses Coreloft synthetic insulation for taking on your favorite activities in cold, wet weather. Coreloft is a hydrophobic material, meaning it resists moisture, so if your adventures go slightly awry and you end up a little wet, it'll dry faster and keep you warmer. The Gossamera protecting the insulation is a 100% nylon ripstop fabric, ready to take on a busy day in the outdoors as well as featuring a water repellent coating to further deter moisture from soaking in. This wind resistant jacket is lightweight and the stretch woven cuffs stay close to your wrist to prevent drafts. The hood is insulated to warm up your hair and even fits over a helmet. The athletic fit provides a slim, flattering look so you can skip into town for dinner after your adventurous day in the woods.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, cozy piece for every closet I love this jacket. I bought it as an outer layer for cool dry days, and am finding I am wearing it all the time: not just when I’m out for an outdoorsy adventure, but also when the office gets a little chilly; walking my kids to school; running errands around town. You could just wear a t-shirt under it and be very comfortable. Even if a little rain is falling, it seems to bead right off, though I’m not sure how it would hold up in a full-on rainstorm. Having small children I usually have a bag full of stuff for them, so I like that this jacket scrunches up reasonably small when I don’t need it. FIT: I am tall (5’10”) and solid, so I am sometimes a large in Arc’teryx product and sometimes a medium. In this case, I wear a medium comfortably. USE: It keeps me toasty, super toasty, so if you don’t often get chilled, you might find it is too warm to be useful. This is why I haven’t used it yet for any exertion-heavy activities, but now that winter is here that may change. I have been using it a lot lately on the cold and rainy days around town just layered under my Beta AR jacket, and wow, what a combo. I have never been so dry and warm in my life. For the first time ever I don’t really mind standing and waiting for the bus in the rain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be aware of the changes! Colder than the previous. I am really dissapointed with this jacket. I had last year's Atom SV and loved it! I received the AR under warrantee and it does not compare to the SV. I am much colder in this jacket than the SV. They added extra coreloft in the front but took some away from the sides. You have 120g/m² coreloft in approximately 6' in the front and 80g/m²on the side which is approximately 8'. So you are actually covered by less coreloft because the front panels are so small. The pockets are smaller too. The pockets start where the larger side panel begins. My whole hand does not fit comfortably into the pocket. Poor design change. I want my money back because last year I bought a warmer jacket for the same price and now I have a colder due poor quality. I have a lot of Arc'teryx gear, however this is the first piece I am upset with. I want any older version or my money back. The justification of taking away coreloft to add more coreloft to a small portion to the front is ridiculous. Horrible design of what was a great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great jacket!! This jacket exceeded my expectations. It is amazing. it is lighter than a hoodie, and literally feels like you are not wearing a jacket at all. The material is very soft, and the arms slide right on without lifting up my shirt sleeves. I love that when the jacket is fully zipped, it completely covers my neck. The arms have a soft band around the cuffs, which keeps the wind out, but it's not so tight that it is uncomfortable. This is the best jacket that I have ever owned, and the most expensive, but I could not be happier. This jacket will last me a very long time.,,I am 172cm and 65kg, the Medium fits me perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect jacket for damp cold conditions I love this jacket living in Vancouver. It's modern and casual design means you can wear it for so many things. It repels the rain well and being Coreloft the jacket remains warm. It's cuffs are super soft and the hood is super cosy and fits well. It packs up small so you can have it in your pack for extra layering or sitting in a hut after hikes. This is a great all round jacket that you won't want to take off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, flexible and stylish! I spent the whole winter in this and loved it. Basically, it's the warmest, thinnest and most flexible material-ed jacket I've ever owned. Pockets are great and come with a little fleece for when you forget your gloves. Hood is the best because of how it tightens around you face but doesn't destroy you peripheral vision. I hate Velcro (and extra buttons/fasteners and bells a whistles), so this jacket is a blessing. The wrist elastic is wonderful and the length is pretty OK. It's a little puffy, but not to the point where you hear "swish, swish" when you walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a sleeping bag Love this jacket! It is like wearing a little sleeping bag! Pretty light and packs up to a decent size, and is so cozy! The sleeve design is brilliant, and does not let the cold up through the sleeves. I like that it fits a little loose and a little on the bigger side, makes it a perfect layering piece. Can't say enough good things about it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect down jacket. I wear this under my Beta AR shell and it's a perfect layering jacket. I also wear it by itself and it is very responsive. Never too hot and never cold in it. Fits true to size. I'm 5'3" and 105 and wear an XS. Definitely recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from much warmer than atom LT We bought this for my wife who is always cold. It is far warmer than the atom lt and perfect for around town when you aren't working out. Very warm and durable.

ARC'TERYX FIT GUIDE
NEXT to SKIN FIT: These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Used for base layers which integrate well with Arc'teryx Expedition, Trim, Athletic and Relaxed Fit styles.

TRIM FIT: These trim fitting garments share motion-friendly traits with an Arc'teryx Regular fit style, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. The Arc'teryx trim fit is sized for a base layer and a trim synthetic or down filled mid-layer.

REGULAR FIT: This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. The complex patterns used utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion and eliminate excess bulk. Trimmer than the Relaxed fit with room for a base layer, a light fleece mid-layer and a synthetic or down filled mid-layer.

RELAXED FIT: Relaxed fit garments rely on both articulation and higher volume patterns to provide comfort and mobility. This is a looser fit featuring room for a base layer plus a thick cold weather mid-layer.

EXPEDITION FIT: Expedition fit is suitable for winter / extreme conditions. The larger cut accommodates multiple layers without binding or restricting movement. Their maximum fit with room for a base layer plus multiple, thick cold weather mid-layers.
