Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for Cool Desert Islands If I was stuck on a desert island with the Trino Jersey, I'd be a very happy person. Especially if this desert island came with sneakers and some beautifully paved roads for a bicycle, where I'd use the Trino as the perfect stand-alone piece for running and cycling. Although I believe that it was designed with running in mind, I think that where it really shines is during cold weather commutes on the bicycle. The windstopper™ front and arms, and breathable rear make it the perfect combo to cut the cold headwind, yet still allow excess heat to escape. And if things warm up enough, just unzip the front a little to blow plenty of air through the jersey. The Trino also comes standard with two rear-pockets, one zippered and one not. I prefer to keep things like water bottles and bananas from my desert island trees in the unzippered pocket, while keeping nuts and grubs, and other small things in the zippered pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cold Weather Running Jacket I've gone through several Jackets by other brands. I have been unsatisfied with either the cut, range of motion or breathability. I'm broad on the shoulders (large) with a narrower waist. The fit is great. I am echoing what another reviewer said. I wore the Trino on a -3 C day, ran for 17k, wearing only a 260 weight Ice breaker. I was running on hills and exposed locations. The weather varied from sunny and calm to gray and windy. I never felt cold. The Trino like all Arc'teryx is a smart, well designed technical garment. Compared to other jackets I have tried, it is incredibly thin and light. Only suggestion would be a strap on the pocket zippers. Excellent garment, well worth the price. And I know it will last, I have some Arc'teryx pieces that are 5 years old and they are still in fantastic condition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect I bought this Trino Jacket along with the Trino tight. I have tried it cycling and running in all kinds of weather and temperature (from 5°C to -10°C, with rain and snow). The jacket performs as advertised; it lets your sweat in the back and protects the front against the elements. With a long sleeved shirt underneath, the Trino jacket felt warm while running at -10°C. I can't wait to try it at colder temperatures. I especially like the back of the jacket which has 2 deep pockets, perfect for stowing a small pair of glove and beanie hat. The elastic cuffs are also very comfortable and can be stretched to cover most of the hands. I only have 2 small complaints about the Trino jacket. The front and pockets zipper pull tabs are way too small and they do not have cords attached to them. That makes them very hard to grab with gloves on or with cold fingers. They do not have holes in them either, so I can't simply add cords to them. This is a bit baffling to me considering the jacket is meant for winter running. My other issue is with the available colors. It would be nice to have other dark colors than just plain black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible for runners even at -25c!!! I juste ran a windy 16 km at -25c using a tech 260 tight fit icebreaker and my Trino and I felt warm all my run!
