Product Description Item No.   10281289

The Arc'Teryx Men's Tantalus Jacket is a ski jacket for riding big mountain or groomed runs. This hybrid shell is 100% waterproof thanks to two types of GORE-TEX® fabric, N150p-X GORE-TEX® with 3L tricot technology and N70p GORE-TEX® with 3L lo-loft soft shell construction. This means the high-wear areas (shoulders, lower back, hood and forearms) get a dose of abrasion-resistance, while the rest of the jacket is soft and comfortable. Weather gets shoved to the side and you'll be like a sneaky little ninja flying down big mountains and on piste runs. The StormHood™ fits over your helmet and the collar comes up high to protect the lower half of your face from harsh winds. Close the die-cut Velcro® cuff adjusters to prevent wind and snow up your sleeves and when your body heat rises too much, open the pit zips to dump all that excess heat. Hand pockets, chest pocket, and even internal pockets secure gloves, hat, lip balm and more so you're always prepared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I've skied in this jacket five times since I've purchased it... it is superior to my other jackets in so many ways. When it comes to Ski Touring and Tree skiing, the thicker fabric is amazing... the pit zips are good, but most jackets have those. I thought my brand new jacket was going to tear today after I took a good hit on a tree branch. It didn't. The breast pocket is perfect for your ski pass in a resort. The thicker fabric also offers some insulation, so I was able to lose a layer. The huge drop pocket on the inside is great, although I wish it had a snap or velcro to allow me to ensure when I take a big bail, anything small I have in there won't spill out. I am constantly between the small and medium sizes, I was able to easily buy a small, and have room for layers underneath and its not too tight. When standing at a windy pass, I layered this jacked with my Cerium SV Hoody underneath, and had lots of room for it... unfortunately at this point, I was too hot, so that says something else. haha. I think this jacket, although very pricey, was worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Jacket Very similar to the Stingray, but a bit longer (reaches top of thigh in length) and seems to fit a bit larger. It was a bit looser around my chest than the Stingray (I've tried both in size Large, I'm 6'2, 200 lbs). The sleeves seem to be a little long, but I don't have a problem with that. A medium would fit me fine, but I prefer the Large for the extra room for additional layering, if needed. Material is the same, with the exception of the arms, shoulder and lower back, which has a stronger Gore-tex material. No pocket on sleeve, but has a pocket on the chest, which is likely to serve a similar purpose (most ski-lift cards can be placed there and still work). The inside pockets are the same as the Stingray; my Anon m2 goggles fit perfectly in the large pocket (gloves had no issues either, but not both, obviously). The smaller inside pocket was big enough for my iPhone 6. The hood on this is more similar to the Sabre jacket than Stingray. It fit fine over my helmet (Smith Vantage) and I could turn my head pretty easily, but had some resistance. Keeping the hood down is not annoying, as I thought it might be since it is attached to the collar. The hood can also be adjusted with several built in pull cords. There are several other pull cords that can be used to adjust the fit of this jacket, which is definitely nice. I have not actually used it in the snow yet (since this is new this year), though it should work as well as the Sabre/Stingray/Rush. There are very few reviews on this jacket so far, but it is an outstanding jacket and definitely worth it if you're looking for a shell that will work on/off piste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket great extra length My first shell jacket and I couldn't be happier with the choice. Very versatile depending on the weather, even the different climates on the ski lift. Fits slim around the waist with the extra length really helps avoiding snow up the shirt in deeper stuff. Best jacket I have ever owned

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
