The Arc'teryx Men's Sabre Pant is a relaxed fit ski and snowboard pant for big mountain adventures. The N80p-X GORE-TEX® 3L fabric is of soft shell construction that provides waterproof protection from the elements. The inside of the pant is brushed for a soft feel and a touch of warmth that slides over base layers and is soft against skin. The Cordura® PowderCuffs™ prevent snow from entering at the boot and Keprotec™ patches protect the pant against sharp edges and boots. The integrated belt keeps your pants at your waist instead of your knees, but feel free to add your own belt, as Arc'teryx has included loops. The two cargo pockets and single hip stash pocket close with WaterTight™ zippers, making them highly water resistant (sorry, not waterproof) to protect cash, ID, and even a map and lip balm. Finished off with a hidden RECCO® reflector, you're ready to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing thin, lightweight pants that perform like Armor! These pants are incredible. I used them at Whistler/Blackcomb for snowboarding with 0-10deg F weather and 20-30 mph winds with ongoing snow/rain. I only wore a set of Under Armor tights underneath. I was COMPLETELY dry and more than warm enough. The vents are huge on the side and could probably see your butt if you unzip all the way, but you don't have to unzip that high. They are unstoppable pants that are light and perform like champs - I have HH pants with more insulation and even more in the butt and knees, but they get wet (rated 20,000 mm waterproof). Fit wide and large, err on the smaller end. I have a small that is still large on me (5'8, 155pds, 31.5" waist).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! Blocked wind and kept me warm and dry! These pants are great! I love arcteryx products for there quality and these are there as well! Ordered them for back country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing and camping in RMNP! They fit great and sizing chart was a perfect match. love that they a a bigger fit to allow for lots of layering however ill have to get the stingray pants for ice climbing and rock climbing for the bigger fit of these for layering will be to bulky to wear in these activities. Love the fit, nice deep pockets and a extra shallow pocket is great for small items. Like the engagement ring that I have to my girlfriend on out back country trip in RMNP a week ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BombProof I first purchased the XL size, but being 5'9" 215lbs, I found the pant legs to be too long, and I was practically swimming in the pants. So I returned them and got the L. which fit much better.,,First thing I did was go to the mountains (after a several hour drive), and try the pants out. They were great on the slopes, could have used a shoelace clip but what ever. Perfect on a spring day as is. Didnt require anything beneath. The side vents did allow in some snow when I took a spill, but kept me cool.,,,,I only have one day on the slopes with them but at this point well worth the price. Looking forward to using them in the harsh conditions next season.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hammer time - Nice 3-layer Goretex fabric. The Golden Palm color looks 100x better in person then on the website, it's really a nice shade of mustard yellow ochre. And that's where the good ends for me. The fit is just silly! Looks like something skydivers would wear before they invented wing-suites. The waist adjustment is not the most comfortable implementation. Pocket doesn't have a key leash. Details I expect to see at this price point are missing. I can only hope next years updates address some of these issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but there are better options The Sabre pants are huge! The cut through the thing his generous and great if you are rocking some massive Olympic power lifter sized thighs. If you are not that big, these pants will be very baggy and the leg opening at the bottom nearly covered my feet. The Thalo Blue color is a little more teal than the pictures show. For my money, I'd go with the Stinger pants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More like boat bottom than bell bottom. I bought these for my husband for christmas. He put them on and enormous width of the bottom of the pant (Bell bottom) could probably hide another person inside. Seriously, for how much money these people want for a simple shell pant, they could at least design one that doesn't cover a queen bed with the amount of material it used. Arcteryx has gone off the charts on it's pricing and to make a pant for hard core skiing that is so poorly thought out is inexcusable. Will never buy their product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Passed the Whistler Test with Room to Spare Just got back from Whistler/Blackcomb. Perfectly water and wind-proof as advertised, and very breathable. Thigh pockets are well-placed. The small pocket was great for lip balm, but I’m not sure what else I’d keep in there. Keprotec insteps were quite stiff and kept the big bell bottoms in place. ,,,,I’m 5’10” and 165 lbs. (32x32 jeans) and bought the medium. The built-in “belt” is worthless for keeping one’s britches in place. I used an Arc’teryx Conveyor, which just happens to match the belt loops (what a coincidence). Legs, waist and seat were all VERY roomy. It would have been easy to accommodate a much heavier layer (or two or three). ,,,,Overall, I loved the construction and performance, and didn’t mind the extra volume. I went with the Sabres rather than the Stingrays because I wanted the more durable fabric and I liked the thigh pockets on this model better. If Arc offered a trimmer fit model with those features, that would have been my first choice.,,

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
