Product Description Item No.   10281250

The Arc'teryx Men's Procline FL Pant is a softshell pant for stretch and movement while skiing the backcountry or alpine climbing. Movement and comfort is paramount when moving fast in the alpine, but when it's cold you can't be leaving yourself exposed to the elements either. A combination of Fortius 1.0™ and Burly™ double weave softshell fabrics gives you just what is needed to shed weather, hold up to abrasion, but keep your body from overheating at the same time. Patterned with a trim fit and gusseted crotch you'll be able to bend, crouch, and shift without restriction so you can make it to the top of the ice-and-snow-mountain or fly down it on your skis. The 1/4 length zippers at the ankle facilitate on/off and different sizes of boots, while the opposite side is a Keprotec™ patch to prevent sharp edges from damaging the pants. Suspenders on or off, it's your choice.

FEATURES of the Arcteryx Men's Procline FL Pant

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pair of trousers I finally had the opportunity to try out these beauties after lying in the closet for too long. Autumn alpinism in Norway! I am a 33" in trousers and is 192 cm tall and the medium tall fits PERFECT. I was very suprised to see, that Arcteryx decided to make them in tall already, well done! The Burly weave material is very wind resistant, sometimes almost too much, but unlike the Psiphon pants, these have ventilation zippers, which I used a lot. As the top part of the zippers are behind the leg loops, it is very nice, that the zippers open from the bottom - very nice attention to detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Designed for backcountry and resort skiing, not for alpine climbing I worn these pants for backcountry skiing, and found them as the most comfortable pants. I had thin long johns underneath since it was about 25 to 28 deg-F without sun. During the non-stop 50-minutes uphill skiing, I kept the side vents open; no sweating. At one section I had to skin up next to snow makers, and got my entire clothing frosted by the wet freezing mist, but the layers of the frost fell off from the pants once I moved away. The pants were completely dry while the outer surface of my old soft shell jack remained wet for the rest of the day. My measurement is W29". The size XS is found to be just right; there is still room for thicker heavy underwear for cold days. I like the simple low profile buckle for the waist adjustment. The heavy fabric used for the ski edge protection at the bottom of the pants is very hard and almost like plastic, which is too bulky to packed down/compressed under long gators. So, I would not use these pants for alpine climbing. I prefer to wear long gators during alpine climbing, so that I can see my foot holds, particularly with crampons on.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
