Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wicks Very Well / Durable I have worn this shirt mainly while hiking in the summer, it wicks really well and keeps you dry. I wear it to the gym a lot too when it's warm out. I have actually worn it as a base layer under a fortrez hoody while hiking on colder days simply because of its very good moisture wicking capabilities. It's extremely thin and lightweight but also oddly very durable. I have washed it a ton of times and the material seems to be holding up really well. You don't need to be a runner to buy this...anyone in high-intensity activities will appreciate how dry this shirt will keep you. I'm 6'0" 200lbs and I wear a large. Fits snug but material is pretty stretchy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight longsleeve for time in the sun. I picked up the Pewter version shortly before heading on a 5-day backpacking trip along the West Coast Trail in Canada. I'm 6'2/190lb and a Large fits just right - which suggests to me that Arc'Teryx cuts are a little longer than most other brands. I wore this shirt every day of the hike, and never once felt uncomfortable in it. Despite being longsleeve it breathes extremely well, and a light wind cools me even in direct sun. The shirt will pick up odours, but smells fresh after an easy wash, nothing unusual there. This was my first purchase of an Arc'Teryx product, having been put off by high prices in the past. I'm converted - you pay for quality. This shirt will definitely be with my gear for every hike I do spring to summer. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a version with extra long sleeves with a thumb loop, to allow the fabric to cover the backs of the hands. The backs of my hands were the only thing that sunburned after a full day of hiking on the beach on a clear day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry Out of the Wash I've never really looked into Arc'teryx base layers or performance tops as it was the outwears that brought me to the brand. I picked up a Motus quite a few months ago and have enjoyed it from the outset. The fabric has a supple yet smooth hand to it unlike most synthetics which is great for longer runs. I've worn the same shirt trail running, cycling (commuting), paddling, and even as a formal undershirt. The shirts has not pilled and no signs of wear aside from the silk screen on the back peeling. What's to be most enjoyed about the shirt is that right from out of the wash it's dry. If you're taking this shirt travelling, this piece is defiantly washable in the sink then quickly hung dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best moisture wicking product The material used for these shirts is fantastic. Extremely light (only 115g!!), yet durable. Far superior to other brands such as Nike DriFit which are much bulkier, heavier, and suffer from poorer/larger fits. I'm a 38" chest, 5'-10", 141lbs and the small is a perfect fit. Even wearing this on warm days (20º+) it breathes extremely well during a run/workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Motus is #1 Bought the short sleeve Motus which fit great and is now my favourite technical shirts for all activities (see my other review). Now I had the rationale that I didn't want to purchase the long sleeve version since I thought it might be too warm to wear in the hotter/summer time or it being too cold/thin to wear in the cooler/winter season. Also it was a bit more expensive and wasn't sure if it was worth buying over the short sleeve, and I would just cover it up with another midlayer or jacket. But wrong I was again in that it still regulated my core body temperature amazingly well whether it was warm or cold outside and the long sleeves worked well when I desired to keep arms slightly warmer or protect it from the blazing sun. So it was great as a standalone piece. Now if only there was more product available and more colours!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you dry The material keeps you dry when used during warm days and it stretches to the movement of your body. I did use this shirt on an extremely hot day for the elliptical and the shirt was wet after 40 minutes. At the fast rate at which this material dries I got a slight chill so I removed the shirt and it dried in about 35 minutes. I like the long sleeve version of this shirt because you don't have to apply sunscreen to your arms when used outdoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go-To Shirt For Most Cool To Hot Temp. Activities I own two of the Motus Crew LS. It's a great shirt for keeping yourself cool while participating in any type of sports or athletic activities, also, it's a great shirt to just wear around town. I use the shirts for running, weightlifting, rock climbing, biking, and practically any activity where I expect to perspire. The shirt also removes odors and wicks away sweat very well. I have a friend who sweats profusely, and the shirt does a good job of not sticking to his body and keeps him cool. It also does not retain odor, as long as you take care of it (don't leave it on the ground or in a basket of dirty laundry and expect it to smell fresh), you could wear this shirt for a couple of days and it would have a neutral smell to it. However, there is one setback to the shirt. I have broad shoulders (5'10 - 160lbs) and I purchased this shirt for my brother (5'8 - 145lbs) who does not have the same width in shoulder as I do and he was not pleased with the fitting because he felt it was oversized. However, I did give it to a friend who is even smaller in frame size to my brother (5'7 - 135lbs) and it fit him quite well and he loves it. I would definitely recommend this shirt. I own two of the original three colors (Squid Ink and Graphite) and I'm hoping to buy more! I've also received a couple of compliments on the shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Go This is one of my go to shirts for a variety of activities. Biking and Hiking included. Works well walking around the neighborhood too. I think this will do well on an up coming backpack in Hawaii since its so light. I bought the high visibility color. The lime green

ARC'TERYX FIT GUIDE
NEXT to SKIN FIT: These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Used for base layers which integrate well with Arc'teryx Expedition, Trim, Athletic and Relaxed Fit styles.

TRIM FIT: These trim fitting garments share motion-friendly traits with an Arc'teryx Regular fit style, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. The Arc'teryx trim fit is sized for a base layer and a trim synthetic or down filled mid-layer.

REGULAR FIT: This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. The complex patterns used utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion and eliminate excess bulk. Trimmer than the Relaxed fit with room for a base layer, a light fleece mid-layer and a synthetic or down filled mid-layer.

RELAXED FIT: Relaxed fit garments rely on both articulation and higher volume patterns to provide comfort and mobility. This is a looser fit featuring room for a base layer plus a thick cold weather mid-layer.

EXPEDITION FIT: Expedition fit is suitable for winter / extreme conditions. The larger cut accommodates multiple layers without binding or restricting movement. Their maximum fit with room for a base layer plus multiple, thick cold weather mid-layers.
