The Arc'teryx Men's Incendo Hoody is a wind and water resistant jacket for minimalist trail runners. Stow inside it's own pocket when the weather is clear, but once the skies turn a little gray, pull it on and zip it up. A mere 4.4oz (size medium) won't leave you dragging but will block just enough of the wind and rain to keep you moving quickly through your training session. Hood up to protect the head and reflective hits at the sleeves and chest help keep you visible to others in low-light situations.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great running jacket I've used this jacket on about six 10 km+ runs and so far I am quite happy with it. Good light jacket that helps stop the wind, but doesn't get too warm. It does get a bit damp inside, especially on the back, on longer runs. Ventilation in the pits works really well. Does not stuff down as small as I would have expected. I have a large and am happy with the size. I'm 6'2" and 200 lb with a medium build, the jacket has a slim fit, no extra flapping material, but nothing is tight or limits movement. The sleeves are a perfect length for me and would still work for somebody with longer arms. One final minor peeve, the material makes some noise when moving, but not to the point where I wouldn't buy this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent design I have used the jacket for rowing while it was raining and found that it was ideal. It was comfortable and allowed full body motion. There was no water leak in moderate rain. Wind protection was excellent. The hood allowed good protection and still allowed a mirror to be used while sculling in a single. At 53 degrees a tech T-shirt and the jacket kept me warm. There was no sweat buildup inside with the ventilation areas. It does pack into its own pocket but its a tight fit. I would not hesitate to buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Mountain Running Jacket I love this jacket. It is the perfect weight and perfect fit. I wore it with a Phase AR base layer in windy 50 degree (F) weather, which was probably warmer than I needed to be, but it breathed extremely well - the combination of the two worked together perfectly, just as they were designed to I would guess. It really kept the wind at bay when I got to the summit and needed the warmth. I haven't had much rain to play with it, but I expect it is decently resistant (I don't expect much from microfiber). My only gripe is that the zippers could use pulls, just like your other technical jackets have. Maybe you were trying to conserve weight, but even without gloves, my cold hands had trouble grabbing those little zipper-heads. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Lightweight Jacket This is the running jacket I've been dreaming of! It is light & cool. I am 5 '7" slim build & the small fits perfectly. I've had it a month & found it keeps the wind out, & more impressively, has a decent degree of waterproofness that I wasn't expecting. I've worn it on short high intensity runs as well as steady 20 mile trial training runs & it performs equally well in both instances. I also use it for dog-walking. A superb ligh weight jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for high output I've had this jacket for over a month now and it is quickly becoming my favorite go to for summer activities. I'm not a runner either. However this jacket is great as I am always warm when on the move and it stashes easily in my pack for day to day adventures in the urban landscape and on the mountain. I chose this jacket over the Squamish because it had extra reflective strips for night time urban walks. The light weight material is surprisingly water repellent in light to moderate rains; time will tell how the DWR holds up. This jacket over a t-shirt is perfect in a chilly wind. The hood makes barely any noise when on and peripheral vision is not impeded when looking side to side. And the fit is super nice; this is a sexy piece of gear. The only suggestion i have would be to make the hole for the earphones a little bigger to fit the 'L' shaped headphone jack through to the pocket where you can easily stash your MP3 player. I plan to stash this jacket in my touring pack once winter roles around for ascents and as a base layer under a shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product for a reasonable price If you're looking for a jacket that will not weigh you down while running, will keep you relatively warm, will keep you dry and will look good on you, then this is your jacket. It's so light that when you're wearing it you barely notice it; and the fit is close to the body so that it doesn't get in the way or flop around during strenuous exercise. The jacket is not thick, yet in cold weather with thin layering underneath it keeps you warm. The hood fits nicely on your head and stays out of the way when not in use, and the waterproofing is excellent in a light to moderate rain. The exterior pocket nicely and securely fits a key and a small mp3 player, and you can pass a headphone cord from here to the inside of the jacket so it's out of the way. Or, you can opt to clip an mp3 player on the inside pocket, which doesn't zip but works well for this purpose. Finally, the fact that the jacket folds into its own zipped pocket is a huge bonus. Because of the jacket's thinness the resulting package is small enough to carry in one hand. And while you'll find the jacket wrinkled if left in this state for a few hours, the wrinkles disappear once you've hung the jacket up for a bit. And after a few washings the jacket works as well as it did the first time I wore it. In all this a great product that can be found at a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incendo Hoody This running jacket was very thoughtfully designed. The fit is not too tight, not too loose. The lightweight material provides just enough protection, and the side venting works just as I'd hoped it would. The hood is not noticeable until you need it. I would have liked it if the pocket fit my iphone better, but I can get the phone inside without much trouble. I looked at a lot of alternatives and I'm glad I chose this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vindprotection! I use the Incendo hoody for running in rain, wind or cold conditions and it works great. The jacket is light and you dont notice the hood, untill you need it. The Hood is a great extra protektion when the wind picks upp during a run.
