Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using the Mid Liner with shoes rather than boots When I talked with the Arcteryx phone person, he seemed mystified that I would want to use the Mid Liner with my Acrux2 shoes. He explained a couple of times that the liner was designed to wrk with a boot. But, my idea was to extend the water protection for deeper pools of water and mud, so I have always envisioned using the Mid Liner for that purpose. I was a little concerned that it might be too hot to wear in less than close to freezing conditions. So, I had my first hike with the Mid Liner and the Acrux2 shoes a couple of days ago. It was 59 degrees and I never felt that the shoes were too warm. There wasn't any water on the trail, but my regular liners have performed very well on managing moisture, so I'm confident the Mid Liners will, also. The fit seemed fine - no blisters or other odd results of only using a shoe instead of a boot. They look a little strange, but who cares about that? Jeff Gould

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, keeps feet dry and comfortable I recently purchased the insulated mid liner for use in the Acrux2, and had a chance to test them out in freezing conditions on Mt Hood in Oregon. After a 17 mile hike through varying terrain and numerous water crossings with feet fully submerged, my feet and socks were completely dry. Paired with the Beta AR pants, I am very pleased with performance in cold, wet conditions. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just enough warmth for active use Had the 'summer liners' for about a month of fall weather. Started using the boots for winter snow shoe in Whistler and I found that they were not warm enough. Went out on a limb and bought the insulated liner and they are great. Just warm enough for active use and after a couple of outing they fit like a glove. Highly recommend these if you want to use for winter sport.

Does this make the boot fit tighter?

Asked by: sp1d3rboi
Hiya sp1d3rboi, thanks for your question! Yes, the boot will fit tighter but you can solve this issue by wearing regular socks (not thick hiking socks) and/or removing the existing sole of the boot. You might need to experiment to get the right fit. Hope this helps!

ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT GUIDE

How to Find Your Foot Measurements

Use the following information to help you find your foot measurments, then select the relevant size from the tables below.

Things you'll need:

• A corner wall with a 90° angle or a cardboard box
• A sheet of paper, a pen and a ruler
• The same type of socks that you would normally wear with your hiking shoes or boots

Measure your foot:

With your foot placed on the ground, nestled in the 90° corner angle of the wall, make sure that your heal is touching the back wall, and that the side of your foot is touching the side wall.

Place a piece of paper underneath your foot and draw a line from directly in front of your big toe across to the side wall.

Then use your pen and ruler to draw a straight line intersecting the line that you just drew in front of your big toe, back towards the rear wall.

Use the above information to help you find your foot measurments, then select the relevant size from the tables below.
