Product Description Item No.   10220006

The Arc'teryx Men's Atom hoody is easily the most owned jacket here at Moosejaw. With good reason (and not just the fact that it's made of tons and tons of atoms). The Atom SV is a durable mid-layer that can function as an outer layer. Featuring Coreloft™ synthetic insulation in the torso, arms and hood, and tricot side panels and underams, this cold weather jacket offers ample warmth while minimizing bulk and maximizing mobility, all in a lightweight package. So wear it around the city, wear it up the trail, wear it on the mountain tops; you'll be happy you brought it. All my coworkers sure are (you can tell by the way they constantly chest bump each other).

FEATURES of the Arcteryx Men's Atom SV Hoody

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket! 100 grams of Coreloft insulation in a wind resistant DWR treated gossamer shell that packs down pretty small. The helmet compatible hood disappears under the storm hood of the Alpha SV, and at elevation when the precip is snow and rain, but truly bone-chilling, this jacket does it's stuff. It can also be worn as a stand alone jacket without a shell. Leaves plenty of room for baselayers and is not as trim fitting as the Atom Lt, in fact a little bulky for my 6' 155 lb. frame, but great never-the-less. Stretch-jersey cuffs seal out the cold. There is a small internal pocket and two hand pockets.I got the buckskin/Buddhist-monk-robe color to avoid scaring the yaks. Love the MOOSE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Jacket Ever!! i spent hours and hours to find the best jacket for winter, and i read a lot of reviews about this jacket and compare it to the other brand (especially TNF.) long story short, i made up my mind and bought this atom sv, couple reasons i choose this jacket over another brand: 1. it has a lot of good reviews about this jacket. 2. a lot of my friends have TNF jacket and i see that everywhere... i want something different, good quality, good looking and of course something that can protect me in cold weather. i tell you guys, this jacket has it all (style, comfort, quality). this jacket is so light weight, the inside material is so soft, very warm for around 30F i just need one layer cloth underneath this jacket. i never though i would spent so much money on one jacket, but i'm so happy with my decision. one of the best invesment i've ever made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the better jacket from Arcteryx! I owned about a dozen Arcteryx jackets in my days and this is one of my favorites. It is very versatile piece as you can layer it during cold winter and wear it by itself during spring and fall. I guess you will have to put this baby in your closet during summer but other than that, you will get much use out of this one more than any other jackets you will own though out the year. I like the price as well! ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Light, Packs Small, Big Enough to Layer Under – Cold Weather Awesomeness!! This is real-deal, high-tech gear! The box it showed up in was so small that nobody at work believed there was a winter jacket inside – including me! But once the box was opened and the garment unrolled: there it was -- the super lightweight and packable jacket that I have been looking for. Tried it on and co-workers said it “looked sharp” for casual use. At home I inspected it thoroughly. Every seam was complete. Every zipper zipped. Every adjustable feature adjusted. The stretchy material at the end of the sleeve comfortably surrounds the wrists and should prevent wind blowing in. Material lining the front pockets is comfy. There is even a nice-sized zippered pocked inside. The large size fit my 5’8” 172-lb frame perfectly with a room underneath for optional layering. I could twirl my arms easily. I’m looking forward to next winter’s snowshoeing, roof-raking, and snowblowin’!,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm for the thickness - durable shell This jackets great if you're looking for warmth and some moisture wicking without having a ton of layers on. I really like the tapered cuffs on the sleeves, since cold air can sneak in easily there on other jackets. This thing does run a bit big, I have a 43" inch chest and I felt I was swimming in it. But I like a more tapered fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket When first pulling the jacket out of the package, I was alittle bit nervous because the jacket was quite thin and light. However, after wearing this jacket through the michigan winter, I was shocked to as how warm it was. I usually would pair this with a hard shell and was warm all winter. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! Expensive but the warmest man-made insulation I've used. Top-notch coat construction and accurate fit. Also works great as an outer layer as long as it's not's quite windproof.

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
